Hi, I'm Harry and am happy to be chosen to be the driver of Paddington's first free Shuttle Bus. At this stage the bus will be running on Saturdays from 9 til 5 with 11 stops, marked by Paddington Shuttle A-frames along the way. The bus is being loaned and the costs are partially funded by Communify which is situated at the Briswest Centre on Latrobe Tce. So the route will start from there, heading to the Paddo Tavern, back along Given and Latrobe Terraces, down Ellena Street to Rosalie Village, back up the road, all the way to the end of Latrobe Terrace to Norwood Tce. Which happens to have magic views of the city. Thanks to Brett Lethbridge for initiating this project. He and Glynis Austin are funding it at the moment and hopefully some other businesses will put their hands up to assist.
Thanks to Karen and Olivia from Living Silk for their help with the grant application. Cr Peter Matic for organising through the BCC the signage, A-frames and flyers.
The ad for this role called for cheerful happy person with a good sense of humour. I have been retired for the last five years doing mostly odd handyman jobs. And my partner loved that I put my hand up
for this gig as it's not so taxing on my body. I already know Paddington pretty well and look forward to pointing out some of the sights as well as historical points of interest along the way. So tell your friends and spread the word. Leave your car and let me take you to where you would like to visit in this beautiful suburb. Looking forward to meeting you. And if you have any questions about this service please email Brett on lethbridgeb@hotmail, or send us a message on Facebook or Instagram.
