Pete’s rounded up a few trucks an got a convoy going on!

It was a time critical task to get all 3 11.3 meter Naiads to the Port of Townsville, QLD to meet the shipping dead line but we pulled it off as perusal letting the team Yamba Welding & Engineering down isn’t an option.

An at the same time it Looks like the boys all had fun along the way!

After 9.5 years under construction the 48 foot catamaran was ready to depart its shed in Officer, VIC and head down to Yaringa boat Harbour marina where it will have its mast rigged and launched for the first time.

After 3 months of planning Neil’s catermaran was finally ready to leave the shed where he built it and head too the water.
@7 meters wide an 15 meters long this catermaran sure did give Pete a challenge moving this big cat from Rosemount, QLD to Monteys marina, Beachmere QLD

The cat was loaded an unloaded by raising a lowering the trailer’s air bags under the bridge deck of the cat, making things Easier and cheaper than using cranes ECT.

Once again a job well done by team Slip-Away

Big 14 x 7 meter wide Catamaran custom built by its owner finally leaves the shed under police x2 an pilot es**rt x3 from Rosemount QLD to Monteys Marina in Beachmere, 1 hour drive taking a little over 3 hours to navigate over narrow bridge crossing ect

An just like that after 3 failed attempts from the other blokes that move “BIG Boats” Pete turned up an put on a show, as perusal.. “so he says” 🙄.

Bojangles (clipper 40) sits 4.68 meters from the keel to the flybridge structure. This means the keel would need to run 300/320mm off the road OR we would need over height permits.

So Peter attacked the air tanks with a grinder and a welder to allow the boat to drop down another 47mm, YES exact MMs he says or it’s wrong, and he wasn’t wrong!

Bojangles sat BANG on 5 meters, once again out standing work.
