The commercial passenger vehicle industry is moving too fast and the government has allowed tens of thousands of new entrants whilst at the same time worrying about congestion, particularly in the City of Melbourne. Even with these new entrants many vulnerable people are unable to use taxis because two companies, SILVER TOP and CROWN CABS have withdrawn Cabcharge from their vehicles which effects the use of the government sponsored Multi-Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP). Only two organisations seem to be able to do the right thing by people of all abilities and they are 13Cabs and Oiii and the companies we recommend on the website (https://www.ridesharevictoria.com.au). Oiii is a new app that allows passengers to tap and go and is highly recommended. These companies have the ability to integrate their services and ensure the safety of the MPTP. The commercial passenger vehicle industry has a lot to offer but the government usually only rewards mediocrity and takes little opportunity to train drivers properly and in fact the regulations, if there are any available to be seen, are not enforced. It is a sad reflection on the lack of governance overall as seen during the covid crisis in 2020 in Victoria. No one is quite sure what they are doing and they do not like being queried.

DROPPING OFF

Coming to Melbourne Airport from Tullamarine Freeway exit 19 to Terminals 1,2,3,4.
Keep left for Terminal 4 once on the ramp and keep right for Terminal 1,2,3.
From Sunbury via Sunbury and Bulla Road you must drive around to entrance to Terminal 4 and join up with traffic coming from your right on the ramp.

PICKING UP
To be picked up at Melbourne Airport by your PRE BOOKED TAXI OR CHAUFFEUR you will need to go upstairs once you have your luggage to a central pick-up point so you driver can pick you up kerbside. It is reasonable because you are under cover all the way and you can get a buggy to assist if required

The recent changes in the delivery drivers' business news in Australia are significant for gig economy workers. Delivery drivers will now be paid a minimum of $31.30 per hour under a landmark deal approved by the Fair Work Commission.
