15+ Years. That's how long we've been fixing Melbourne's corporate transport problems.

Started when rideshare was just an idea and surge pricing wasn't ruining business budgets. Today, we're still here because corporate travel needs reliability, not algorithms.

Fixed fares on every booking. Police-checked drivers. Vehicles that actually show up. From Southbank conference pickups to Tullamarine airport runs, we handle the transport so you can focus on business.

Crown's valet lanes at 8am during conference season are absolute chaos.

If you've tried to coordinate group pickups from the Southbank hotels during peak conference weeks, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Traffic backs up to City Road, rideshare surge pricing hits $40+ per car, and half your delegates end up walking.

Smart event planners book dedicated group transport that knows the venue layouts, the loading zones, and how to time arrivals perfectly. Makes the whole morning run smoothly.

You're standing at Tullamarine with 3 kids, 4 suitcases, and your rideshare just cancelled because of surge pricing.

Been there? It's the absolute worst.

Your flight lands, you're exhausted, the kids are losing it, and suddenly you're scrambling to find a way home. Regular taxis have a massive queue. Rideshare is charging $90 for a trip that usually costs $40.

This is exactly why smart travellers pre-book their airport transfers. Fixed price, guaranteed pickup, and if you're travelling with family or a group, a maxi cab means everyone travels together.

No surge pricing. No surprises. No stress.

Last month my cousin rocked up from Perth and I offered to show her around Melbourne.

We tried the tram system first day. She got lost at Parliament Station, I lost her at Bourke Street Mall, and we spent 40 minutes texting trying to find each other.

Next day I booked us a sightseeing cab for 6 hours. Picked us up from my place in Carlton, hit the laneways, Royal Botanic Gardens, then St Kilda for fish and chips. Driver waited while we ate, no stress.

She still bangs on about that second day. Sometimes the old school way just works better.

everyone thinks Great Ocean Road's too far for a day trip from Melbourne... they're doing it wrong.

It's not about avoiding the day trip. It's having proper transport. When you're coordinating 3 separate cars, spending 20 minutes finding parking at every stop, someone always gets lost on the way back. That's when it becomes a nightmare. Maxi cab changes everything. One car, one driver who knows the route, you actually get to enjoy the views instead of stressing about logistics. https://www.maximelbourne.com.au/great-ocean-road-tour-melbourne/ What's your biggest worry about planning a Great Ocean Road trip?

here's exactly what to do when booking wheelchair accessible transport in Melbourne.

call at least 48 hours before you need the ride. tell them your wheelchair type and size. ask about ramp type (hydraulic beats manual every time). make sure the driver's actually trained. get a booking reference number.

for Tullamarine runs, book a week ahead during busy times. the difference between stress and smooth travel? preparation.

here's what booking sites won't tell you about medical transport in melbourne

those 'instant quote' calculators? perfect world pricing. no traffic, no weather, no extra time for loading mobility gear.

real medical transport means booking with someone who builds buffer time in. who knows the alfred's drop-off mess. who won't slug you extra if your appointment runs over.

most people wing it at station pier, smart ones pre-book their cruise transfers.

the wrong way: standing there with bags, refreshing rideshare apps while surge pricing climbs because three ships just cleared.

the right way: maxi cab booked beforehand. fits your group, handles your luggage, gets you to tullamarine or your south yarra hotel without the drama.

Uber quotes $180 for a trip that normally costs $45 on Cup Day evening.

That's not a one-off. Surge pricing hits 3-4x normal rates when everyone's leaving Flemington at once. We've heard these stories for years running maxi cab transfers to Spring Racing. Fixed-fare bookings for groups of six or more are almost always cheaper, even before surge kicks in. Derby Day, Cup Day, Oaks Day, Stakes Day - we cover all four with no surprises on price. https://www.maximelbourne.com.au/race-day-transfers-melbourne/ What's your worst race day transport disaster?

Two Ubers for one family? Coordinating pickups from different terminals? Your pram squashed in someone's boot while your toddler cries for their car seat?

Our HiAce fits everyone together - proper baby seats included. From Richmond to Toorak, we've got families covered with infant capsules through to booster seats. https://www.maximelbourne.com.au/family-airport-transfer-melbourne/
