The Spiderverse is coming to Mornington these school holidays!

🕷️ Spider-Man swings into Mornington Station on Saturday, while 🕸️ Spider-Gwen joins the adventure on Sunday.

Both heroes will be meeting young recruits throughout the day, making this a fantastic opportunity for children to see their favourite web-slinging heroes in person.

🚂✨ What an incredible weekend! ✨🚂

We've had a fantastic few days here at Mornington Tourist Railway, with so much happening across the railway.

👨‍✈️ Our Drive a Locomotive Trundles gave lucky participants the opportunity to climb into the cab and experience what it's like to be in control of a heritage locomotive.

❄️🔥 We'd also like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for this year's Winter Solstice Express. Seeing families and friends enjoying the fire pits, live music, winter warmers and an atmospheric evening train journey made the event truly special.

🚃 To everyone who travelled on today's Heritage Train Rides, thank you for supporting our railway and our dedicated volunteers who work hard behind the scenes to create these experiences.

🛤️ Family friendly train ride across the Mornington Peninsula that is approx 50 minutes return
👋 Watch the Guard couple the locomotive to the train at Mornington before the return journey

You can see the turntable and pits from the former loco depot on the Left hand side as well as the classic old water tank which can be seen.

Have you ever dreamed of taking the controls of a train?

The Mornington Tourist Railway offers two unforgettable opportunities to get behind the regulator or throttle and experience what it’s like to be a train driver!

🚨 Trundle Sessions – Almost Sold Out!

With only 6 Trundle sessions remaining and around one week of sales left, now is the time to secure your spot before they’re gone.

Our popular Trundle Experience gives you the chance to drive one of our heritage locomotives, either a 1941 vintage steam locomotive or a 1950s/60s diesel-electric locomotive.

🚂 Trundle Experience (20 minutes)
• Drive the locomotive from Moorooduc to Wooralla Drive and return
• Approximately 2km of hands-on driving
• Perfect for first-time drivers and railway enthusiasts

🗓️ Saturday 20th of June

🚂 Premium Driver Experience (Half Day)

For those wanting a more immersive railway experience, our Premium Driver Experience puts you in the driver’s seat for a half-day of real railway operations.

Included:
• Safety briefing and guest driver instruction
• Drive the locomotive to Mornington and return (12km)
• Assemble carriages (shunting) to build a train at Moorooduc
• Optional catering
• Drive a second trip to Mornington with family and friends travelling in the train (12km)
• Presentation of Certificate(s) of Achievement
