We're hiring Casual Wharf Workers (Stevedores) in Townsville.

Northern Stevedoring Services Pty Ltd is seeking reliable Casual Stevedores to join our Townsville-based team, with the potential for full-time hours. This is a great opportunity to enter the stevedoring industry and gain hands-on experience with one of regional Queensland's most established operators.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, these roles support the safe stevedoring of vessels and the yard operations that keep freight moving across the port.

The role includes:
- Assisting with the safe stevedoring of vessels and yard operations
- Operating small forklifts, skid steers and internal transfer vehicles
- Packing and unpacking of containers
- Cleaning vessel holds and managing spilt cargo on the wharf
- Complying with company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements

We've put together a new piece reflecting on this year's Convoy For The Cure Townsville. Trucks, bikes, families and a regional industry that knows how to come together for a cause that matters.

A huge result of $184,724 raised across the event, including $47,500 from NSS, all going towards childhood brain cancer research.

Michael is an IT Systems Engineer based at Head Office and has been a game changer for the NSS business.
