On behalf of the directors, management and staff of Karras Cold Logistics, we would like to take a moment and thank the emergency crews that are battling the current fire situation in NSW and Qld.
There selfless dedication to help protect life, animals and property is far beyond what any of us can imagine, they are working tirelessly around the clock protecting communities.
It’s in this time of crises that we rely on these people, they have left their own families willingly to help others, they don’t complain they just get in there and do their best, at their own detriment, and ask for nothing in return.
I know that we all care about what is happing in our communities and rightly so, there have been large numbers of lost property, animals and now we have lost two of our finest people from our great county. Two people that will not go home, they have given all they could to help others and in doing so have now given the ultimate sacrifice.
At this time of year, it makes it even harder to understand what people are going through, we might complain because we cannot water the garden, wash the car, but does this really matter?
At this time more than ever lets all reach out to the people that have lost homes, property and animals, and support them in any way we can, please.
But most of all lets show our appreciation to the men and women that are giving their time to help others and keep the wider communities safe, lets support their families during this time and over the Christmas period, when there away from home helping others. And when you see them shake their hand, say thank you, listen to them as they may have seen things you never want to see, faced danger up front and stood in its face. If you see them in the pub or the club, don’t let them buy their own drinks, I for one would buy there drinks all night, they deserve our thanks and gratitude and they need to feel and see that the community as a whole cares and supports them.

Due to the unprecedented fire situation in NSW, we may experience some delays with our Qld service tonight and over the weekend.
At this time the Pacific Highway and New England Highways are both closed due to fires.
We will endeavour to keep all customers updated on any delays that will impact on deliveries during this time.
Our thoughts are with the firefights battling these fires, and people that are affected, please take care and stay safe.

Well spring is upon us!

As they say it's time for a spring clean, and what better way to do this to have the site refurbished 😀

We have commenced a major refurbishment of the Smithfield depot. This entails new dock faces, dock bumpers, refurbished amenties, all offices and the entire warehouse repainted 😅 wow that's a lot of work 😅
The transformation of the site will be fantastic, it will be bright and clean and look the part.
