The State Government has extended the $25 lifting fee for accessible taxi trips in regional South Australia, similar to what is already available in metropolitan areas.

If you use a wheelchair, scooter or large ride-on mobility aide, you may be eligible to receive a non-SATSS Access Taxi Card.
This card will enable drivers to claim a lifting fee to cover their time assisting you in and out of the Access Taxi, which will help ensure customers receive a consistent service.

Congratulations to our very own Tim Welch for winning 2021 SA Taxi Driver of the Year awarded by South Australian Tourism. Tim beat thousands of fellow Cabbies to win the award and is the first Des’s Driver and only the 2nd Country Driver to win. Once again Tim congrats from all the team at Des’s Cabs
