After a long “training” on drinking excellent wines we first decided to become Sommeliers of the AIS (Associazione Italiana Sommeliers) and then to create ONLYGREATWINES.COM

Our goal is to bring to Belgium outstanding quality wines coming from selected top quality wine makers. We will never compromise on the quality of the wines we will import; still you don’t need to spend a fortune to get acce

ss to real quality. Once you order the wine from us you can then collect it at three sites in the Brussels areas, two in the center and one near Tour&taxis. We can also arrange direct delivery. We are allowed to sell both to private people and to companies. We start with importing of Prosecco and Cartizze, two of the highest quality Italian sparkling wines. Prosecco is a well known Italian sparkling wine made from Glera grapes. It’s being produced in the Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia in the North East part of Italy. The Prosecco wine finds it highest quality in the small area of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano in the hills north of Treviso. Only the Prosecco produced in that area can be labeled as CONEGLIANO VALDOBBIADENE D.O.C.G. (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) the highest quality classification level for an Italian wine. In the hills of Valdobbiadene within the hamlets of San Pietro di Barbozza, Santo Stefano and Saccol, the real hometown of the Prosecco wine, the Glera grapes provides their outmost result. Only the wine produced in this tiny area of only 107 hectares can be labeled as Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze D.O.C.G. or simply Cartizze D.O.C.G. Intensely aromatic and crisp, bringing to mind yellow apple, pear, white peach and apricot it’s also known as “The nectar of Gods”. Every hectare in the Cartizze hills is worth about 1 million Euros but almost impossible to buy, nobody owning lands there would ever be so fool to sell it.
