🎅🎄 HO HO HO! 🎄🎅

The holiday season is in full swing at DFDS! Today, we enjoyed a festive Christmas breakfast 🥐 and a delicious Christmas lunch with hotdogs. 🌭
But that wasn’t all: Santa Claus and his cheerful elf stopped by to spread some extra holiday magic.

Every colleague attending was surprised with a fun DFDS-themed pair of socks and a multifunctional buff—perfect for staying cozy this winter. 🎁✨

It was wonderful to come together, share good food, and celebrate the team spirit during this special time of the year.

We’re so grateful for our amazing colleagues who make a difference every single day. Here’s to a fantastic 2024! 🚢❄️

Vandaag vieren we de Dag van de Chauffeur, een dag om onze waardering te tonen voor de ongelooflijke inzet en het harde werk van al onze arbeiders.

Bij DFDS erkennen we de cruciale rol die onze arbeiders spelen in ons dagelijks succes. Hun toewijding en professionaliteit zijn van onschatbare waarde, en we willen hen vandaag extra in het zonnetje zetten.

We nodigen al onze medewerkers uit om deel te nemen aan de festiviteiten en onze arbeiders te bedanken voor hun onvermoeibare inzet.

Wat een fantastische eerste editie van de North Sea Port Talent Experience Day in het ICC Gent! 🎉 Samen met meer dan 60 andere havenbedrijven hebben wij, bij DFDS, de kans gekregen om meer dan 1.500 werkzoekenden en jongeren te inspireren met de eindeloze mogelijkheden die onze sector te bieden heeft.

Dank aan North Sea Port Talent voor de organisatie van dit inspirerende evenement. We kijken ernaar uit om nog meer talent te verwelkomen in onze sector en bij DFDS.

We’re happy to introduce the newest member of our electric fleet in Ghent: an electric RoRo-tractor 🔌

“We’re testing multiple types of electric equipment in the Ghent terminal to move towards a more sustainable operation,” says Raf De Wit ☘

With the new technology also comes new operational challenges 💡
As opposed to non-electric equipment that can stand idle, when it’s not in use, the electric equipment needs to be charged 🔋

It requires planning and organising - for example, having an overview of when a machine is needed and available charging points.

“It’s a great learning experience for us and we’re very pleased with the work so far. We are looking forward to electrifying our terminal even more in the coming years,” says Raf de Wit.
