Hello Bamfield community
Someone left a full tackle box on the Eastside dock yesterday afternoon. After no one came back for it, Bamfield Water Taxi took it aboard before we shut down for the evening for safe keeping. We called around the lodges for the owner but no luck. If you left it, please call or text the water taxi with a description and the name written on the inside and we’ll get it back to you. 250 204 6258

Effective on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 12:00 pm (noon), the campfire ban will be lifted.

Category 2 (backyard burning) and Category 3 (industrial burning) open fires remain prohibited at this time, including the following activities:

❌ Binary exploding targets
❌ Fireworks (Fireworks Act)
❌ Burn barrels or burn cages of any size or description
❌ Controlled air incinerators
❌ Air curtain burners
❌ Carbonizers
