May 24th marked National Aviation Maintenance Technician Day, and we'd like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work of Carson Air's maintenance department!

Congratulations are in order for some members of our team, who have demonstrated their dedication over the years:

Rob Prasloski will now be YLW's Project and Support Manager - the go to for all things Helimods! He will be the team lead for conversion, integration, and future upgrades to our King Air 360 Helimods loading systems. 

Kyle Sykes has been with us for nearly 8 years as an apprentice, AME, and Crew Chief. With his aircraft knowledge and focus on a high level of service for our customers, he will be moving into the YLW Production Manager Role. 

Dan Sharpe, originally from Australia, joined the team nearly 4 years ago and has demostrated his dedication by gaining a Canadian AME license. He will be moving up as YLW Crew Chief.

Congrats to these gentlemen, and thank you to the rest of our maintenance department for their hard work in keeping our fleet flying 🛬

On May 7th, representatives from Carson Air visited the Aatse Davie school in Kwadacha, BC to discuss aviation career opportunities with students in Grades 10-12. Following this discussion, our team members were honoured to tour the community with members of the Kwadacha Nation.

We’re proud to recognize Josh's milestone anniversary - He has been a part of thousands of medevac missions in often challenging flying conditions throughout British Columbia. His commitment to work has helped bring care to many patients across the province.

Along with being a talented pilot, Josh is additionally a wonderful person to work with. He is highly professional and equally personable. He blends a great attitude with a remarkable work ethic, and we are lucky to have him as part of the Carson Air team!

We pause to honour the lives of the Canadian crew members on board Air Canada Express flight 8646. They were part of a community we all share, they were dedicated to a profession built on responsibility, and a deep commitment to the safety of others.

Their loss is felt across the aviation industry and beyond.

Our thoughts are with their families, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. We recognize the impact this tragedy has on those who worked alongside them and on the broader aviation community.
