Police Arrest 22 Year Old Male Following Downtown Stabbing. Devon Desborough of Owen Sound was charged with several Criminal Code offenses. Heads up West Grey businesses, counterfeit $100 bills are still making the rounds locally, and we’re asking everyone handling cash to take a second look.

Tips to spot a counterfeit bill:
💸Feel the texture – Genuine bills are printed on polymer and feel smooth, not paper-like.
💸Check the transparent window – Real bills have a clear window with detailed metallic features.
💸Look for raised ink – Run your fingers over the large numbers and portrait.
💸Tilt the bill – The holographic elements should shift and change.
💸Examine fine details – Blurry text or poor-quality images are common signs of counterfeit currency.

If you suspect a counterfeit bill:
Do not return the bill to the individual.
Avoid confrontation—your safety comes first.
Note descriptions if possible.
