We enjoyed a Pizza Watch Party cheering on team Canada hockey during lunch today!! The highlight of the meal was most certainly the mozzarella cheese topping that was made with milk that was produced by one of our Canadian dairy producers!

Last Friday, March 21st, 2025, we lost a beloved friend, colleague, and significant contributor to the Nova Scotia and Canadian dairy industry with the passing of Darren Burghardt, owner of Burghardt Transport. Anyone who knew Darren knew exactly what he was thinking because he sure would let you know! That was one of his many amazing qualities and we are all going to miss him around the DFNS Advisory Committee for Transportation boardroom table and miss bumping into him at the dairy offloading a load of milk which he loved doing more than anything. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Burghardt family, we will never forget Darren and the legacy he has left behind. Rest easy our friend.

It was a very proud day for the team at Fisher Transport who helped raise over $3,000, polish trucks and participate in the truck convoy on Sept 21st. What a wonderful event to be part of and help contribute towards the $152,000 in pledges and sponsorship funds raised. Well done and we look forward to participating again next year!
