Before anyone asks... no, I wasn’t getting arrested 😄

Flashback to 2003 at W.E. Canning Inc.
At the time, we were a truck tarp manufacturer, but the company also operated a bullet-proof vest division.

For upcoming trade shows, they needed large promotional banners. I volunteered for the photo shoot… and this was one of the results.

Staged photo. Work context. Zero criminal record 😉

Funny how something meant for an expo banner turns into a time capsule 20+ years later.

Different era. Different industry. Same work ethic.

When the trucking community comes together, compassion turns into action — and hope into progress. 💗

Trucking for a Cure is more than an event; it’s a movement supporting research, early detection, and those affected by breast cancer.

Proud to stand behind this initiative and support the Canadian Cancer Society, because no one should fight alone.

When we fundraise, we turn compassion into action and hope into progress. Together, we can make a real impact because no one should fight alone. 💗

In support of The Canadian Cancer Society

Before the highway. Before the logo. Trucking won the war.

This photo shows Émile Lacasse on the right — my grandfather — during World War II.

It wasn’t taken during battle, but in a quiet moment between operations. A pause. No urgency. No noise. Just a truck, a cigarette, and a few minutes of normal life before moving again.

Moments like this only existed because the work was done.

During WWII, transport and logistics were as critical as the front line. Fuel. Ammunition. Food. Troops. Equipment… If it didn’t move, the war stopped.

Drivers and transport crews didn’t always live under fire — but they lived with constant responsibility. Every convoy mattered. Every delay carried risk. Trucks like this one carried the unseen weight of entire operations.

I work in trucking today. Different era. Same truth.

Nothing moves without logistics.
Nothing gets built without transport.
Nothing survives without supply lines.

This isn’t just history to me — it’s family.
From my grandfather’s wartime service…
to modern trucking…
to the work I do today.

Some things don’t change.
