Did you lose your orange cooler today around 9:30am? Silver Star JAXI - Roadside Rescue, Delivery, & Tours cleaned it all up off the road, and put it in the snowbank for you to retrieve. On our way back after extracting someone from their driveway it was still there, so we brought it to HQ. Confirm the contents and it shall be returned / ready for pickup on mtn.

There is a flock of Crossbills on Silver Star Road just above the SS provincial park sign (Just above the switchbacks) They aren't the smartest birds, and they love nibbling on gravel (to aid in digestion) so make sure you honk your horn when you see them all over the road to scare them away! There's already a bunch of roadkill because people aren't honking. Horns work! (And you wouldn't expect it, but honking also works to warn dragonflies and other creatures on the road, try it!)

UPDATE: SNOWING HARD. SS ROAD IS A MESS. The bottom of Silver Star road is super slick, especially right around the Foothills. If you're coming down the hill, be sure to slow the pace (especially right before the new roundabout) Go extra slow to accommodate people turning up the Foothills, as it's a sheet of ice approaching the roundabout!

Silver Star Road is especially slippery right around the switchbacks. Starting just below the bottom switchback, there is a thick sheet of ice covering the outer half of both lanes. Drive safe and call AIM to report!
