A question that's been on EVERYBODY'S mind is finally being answered 🎤🏒

The Kitchener Rangers and FM 985 'The Sound of the Region' are pleased to announce that Mike Farwell (Farwell Between Shows) will be the radio play-by-play voice of the East Avenue Blue for the rest of the 2026–27 season, calling every home and away game beginning Friday, Oct. 2.

A familiar voice to Rangers fans, Farwell brings extensive broadcasting experience, a deep connection to Waterloo Region and a passion for Rangers hockey to the microphone.

“I love that a locally operated, community-forward radio station has earned the chance to broadcast Kitchener Rangers hockey, and the games sound great! But it's been weird to just be a listener. I can't wait to get back into the broadcast booth and turn on that microphone Friday night." - Mike Farwell

Farwell’s first broadcast will be Friday, October 2, when the Rangers host the Saginaw Spirit at 7 p.m. for Oktoberfest Night at The Aud.

Fans can tune in to FM 985 for live coverage of every Rangers home and away game 📻
