"LCL":Full name is "Less than container load"
Other Parts of Client also use the term 'groupage' to express the concept of LCL.
From its literal meaning, it is not difficult to see that LCL refers to goods that are not enough to fill a full container, meaning that the carrier determines the nature of the goods and the destination
Organize the goods, gather a certain quantity of goods to the same destination and assemble them into one container before sending them to the destination port.
In short, goods from different shippers are assembled together and share a container together.
FREIGHT
In terms of specific operations, LCL cargo is handled through a consolidated freight forwarder.
The LCL freight forwarder in the country of origin collects and loads goods through LCL, and then assembles the collected bulk cargo into a full container to book space with the shipping company. Afterwards, the container is picked up and loaded.
