We’re aware the never-ending collapsed manhole saga on the A82 at Milton is continuing to cause traffic chaos across the shire. 😩🚧

However, we’re pleased to report that a specialist engineer has now arrived on scene to assess the situation… 👀

Early reports suggest he’s confident that a bit of silly string, a spray from his flower and some positive thinking should have it sorted in no time. 🤡🌸😂

In all seriousness, if you’re travelling through Milton, allow extra time — delays are affecting traffic southbound.

📢 Update on the Cardross Road Works

Some positive movement today following the concerns raised about the ongoing roadworks on Cardross Road and the significant disruption they’re causing across the area.

Local MSP Jackie Baillie has now written to both Scottish Water and West Dunbartonshire Council asking for the works to be suspended with immediate effect until a better arrangement can be put in place.

As a local taxi company, we’ve seen first-hand the impact this is having — not just on our drivers, but on our passengers, other local businesses and everyone simply trying to get around Dumbarton.

Hopefully common sense prevails and a solution can be found that allows the necessary work to be completed without bringing the area to a standstill. 🚕🚧

We’ll keep our customers updated with anything that may affect journey times.
