Dan Pullen Hire & Haulage

A little update from Team DPHH

You may have noticed our job posts have been a little quieter over the last month or so, but that’s not to say we haven’t been busy!

As festival season starts to wind down, we’re looking back on a fantastic few months. The team have travelled across the UK, covered some brilliant festivals, welcomed back familiar customers, and taken on a great variety of jobs, exactly how we like it!

With around 8 festivals already booked in for 2027, a steady flow of work through the office, and two new additions to the fleet, things are moving along nicely! We’ve also given our website a little refresh, including an updated Meet the Team section, so go and have a look! 👀

We’re really happy with how things are going, grateful for the continued support, and looking forward to what’s next.

🎃 Our Halloween competition is still running! Head over to our Halloween post for your chance to win some cash! 💷👻

A big thank you to our customers, old and new, and to our brilliant team for all their hard work. It really does mean a lot! 🫶💙

It’s always good to step away from the desk and get involved in the wider operation.

We’ve recently added a 45ft curtainsider trailer and a forklift to the fleet two additional assets that bring even more versatility and capability to our business.

The curtainsider gives us greater flexibility when it comes to moving loads that need to be covered and protected, while the forklift is already proving its worth around the yard, helping us move equipment and materials, as well as being particularly useful for loaded brake testing.

And whilst the assets are an important addition to the fleet, for me, it’s also about being involved in all aspects of the business we’ve built together.

My husband and I are a team, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’re building together and of course with our amazing team working along side us. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes in the office planning, organising, managing and making sure everything keeps moving but I enjoy the operational side just as much.

I was fortunate enough to be out in the yard recently, helping to get the new curtainsider unloaded, and it was a great reminder of how much I enjoy being involved in the whole operation.

Office or yard, planning or practical, I genuinely enjoy both sides of our business.

It’s not about having one particular role. It’s about being part of the bigger picture, supporting each other and doing whatever is needed to keep moving forward.

Another couple of valuable additions to the fleet, another step forward for our business, and another reminder of why we love what we do. 🚛

Our 85 tonne metre hiab sits right at the top end of our lifting capabilities, delivering some serious muscle when the job demands it.

With the ability to lift:
🏗️ 15 tonnes at close reach
🏗️ 4.2 tonnes at 16 metres

Paired with our rigid flatbed, we can lift, transport and position your load, all as one streamlined operation. Less hassle, fewer moving parts, and one team taking care of the job from start to finish.

📸 Pictured here is Dan lifting an 11-tonne press machine, a pretty impressive lift, if we do say so ourselves! 😉

Got something that needs a little more strength behind it? Whether it’s heavy machinery, plant or an awkward lift, get in touch with the team today.

If it needs lifting, moving and positioning we can certainly assist. 💪

Another job done, another happy customer!

A massive well done to our OG Steve today!

Steve was on an aviation-side job inside Heathrow Airport, transporting luggage tugs from Heathrow up to Ipswich. He returns tomorrow to complete another run for the same customer. 🚛✈️

What makes this one even better is the amazing feedback we’ve received from our new customer. We did exactly what we said we were going to do, when we said we were going to do it and that’s what good service is all about.

So much so that they’re now looking at setting up an account with us, coming back to us for future work, and are massively interested in the versatility of our fleet.

That’s music to our ears! 🎶

It’s not just about getting the job from A to B, it’s about delivering a service that makes customers want to come back. And Steve absolutely nailed it today. 👏

September has been an incredible month for us. Like any business, we’ve had our ups and downs, but we’ve certainly had some fantastic highs along the way. And as we roll into October, we thought it was time to have a little bit of fun! 🎃👻

🎃 TOMORROW — WE’VE GOT A LITTLE HALLOWEEN GIVEAWAY! 🎃

Keep your eyes peeled 👀 because we’ll be putting it up tomorrow, and we’d love for you to get involved, have a bit of fun and hopefully win yourself something!

Here’s to October! 🚛💨Let’s go!

What a great way to start the week!
It’s been all hands on deck with the team out on container movements, and what a busy couple of days it’s been!

We had a tall order come in of 20 containers to be moved from Birmingham back down to our industrial estate, along with deliveries heading over to Hemel Hempstead and Bishop’s Stortford.

The team have absolutely smashed it across yesterday and today. It’s always great to see everyone working together, pulling in the same direction and, most importantly, keeping our customers happy.

It’s been an amazing start to a fresh week, and we’re hoping the momentum continues!

A massive well done to the whole team for the hard work.

Wishing everyone a fantastic week ahead! 💨

Friday’s here! 🙌

It’s been another busy one for the team, with lots going on, a real variety of jobs, travelling the length of the UK, and, as always, a few tight squeezes along the way!

Dan was out on this job during the week. As he approached the entrance, he could see the challenge ahead but as always, he got stuck in and got it done. 💪

Tight squeezes, long reaches, heavy weights… nothing’s a problem. We put our minds to it, find a way, and get the job done. That’s what we do.

It’s been a busy September and not a bad one at all! We’re looking forward to a well-earned, restful weekend before we go again next week.

And we’re straight into it on Monday, with 20 containers to move, so all the lads will be out together getting stuck in and getting it done. 💪🚛

As always, thanks to everyone who’s kept us busy this week and of course to our amazing team for keeping everything going, we are super grateful! 💙

Have a great and restful weekend, everyone see you next week! 👊

What a way to start a Thursday!

Tremaine and Ian set off yesterday on a journey up to Aberdeenshire, and we’ve already been treated to some absolutely beautiful photos along the way, especially that sunrise!

What a picturesque start to the day.

They’ve done incredibly well, and this could possibly be the furthest we have travelled.
It’s not just about the miles, though. Tremaine and Ian have worked brilliantly together as a team, pulling together to make sure our regular customer is happy and that’s exactly what we love to see.

It always feels good to be able to praise the team, because when everyone pulls together, it really does work amazingly.

A fantastic effort from both of you and a pretty great feeling for a Thursday!

Well done, lads! 👏🚛🌅
