You know… it’s been a hard couple of months.

Draining. Difficult. Downright horrible.

But somehow, through all of it, yous have kept me going. 🤍

The clients who have stuck by me. The ones who have listened to me, supported me, checked in on me and become just as invested in my little business as I am.

You genuinely have no idea how much that means to me.

I won’t lie… there have been times where I’ve thought maybe this just wasn’t for me anymore. Maybe it was time to walk away. Maybe I didn’t have it in me to keep going.

And then tonight happened.

**The UK Hair & Beauty Awards.** 🥹🏆

To receive this tonight is an absolute honour. But more than that, it has reminded me of something I think I needed to hear...

**I’m not done.**

This is my passion. This is what I love. And I’m not ready to walk away.

If anything, I’m ready to dive back in, push myself harder, create more, learn more and bloody well do better! 💅🏼🔥

2026, you've been one hell of a rollercoaster and it's only August! 🤣

But let's go.

A bit of a different post today… today is a celebration 🎉

30 years ago today, the main man himself — Oor Hugh — put his very first taxi on the road.

Fast forward 30 years and not only have there been many more cars on the road since, but now he’s passing the reins down to his son, James.

Three generations of Cowans.
30 years of service.
And many more still to come.

We marked the occasion with a lovely family meal — and a beautiful cake from the one and only Me’s Cafe, Coylton 👏🎂

(PS: Matthew was absolutely delighted to attend… but after eating his body weight in Haggis Bon Bons and Chicken Tempura, the food coma hit hard and a wee nap was very much required 😴🤣)

Happy 30 year anniversary to Cowans Of Ayr 🚖
