We’re getting towards the Christmas season 🎄and all the lights are going up in London with shops, bars and restaurants trying to entice people 🥂🎁
However I thought it’s good to reflect that a week ago we had Remberance Sunday and how fine it was to to hear at 11am, Big Ben, tolling for the first time in 5 years.

What a sight and what a sound!

Well done to all the Poppy Cab drivers who turned up to offer their time and cabs for free, ferrying veterans and their families to and from the Cenotaph in Whitehall 🚕

Last week 2 taxi charities resumed their annual trips where they give back to the community. 💫
The London Taxi Drivers' Charity for Children & The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans, offer day trips for special needs and disadvantaged children, and Veterans. They are supported by a group of volunteer London Licensed taxi drivers (including myself) to get them safely to their destination. 🚖

In the past, the children’s charity have visited Woburn safari 🐒 and most recently this week I supported the charity for military veterans as we took a seaside trip down to Worthing☀️

It has been thoroughly rewarding to be a part of these charity outings, and I hope with continued fund raising & donations these charities can further give back to the community.

Spring is here 🌱 Warmer weather is on its way (hopefully 🤞🏼) for you all to enjoy at home and in the City 🏙

London is full of wonderful green spaces and walking routes, all of which come to life in the spring time 🌼

You can enjoy the city in tranquility, walking through the parks 🌳. A nice walk in the heart of the West End is from Bayswater down to Big Ben - the 3 mile walk hardly touches any traffic and has many cafés to stop at. Take in views of a few of London’s famous landmarks from a unique and peaceful setting.

Plan B has ended, London is totally open for business 🎉

We are free to head back into town and enjoy ourselves, with some great value for money ideas…

If you like a spontaneous trip, Westend’s “The Drifters Girl” tickets are sold on the day for as little as £25 from the box office! Pair a nice lunch (plus a couple happy hour cocktails 🥂!!) with a last minute evening showing for an easy way to end the January blues ⭐️⭐️

If you have a wander you’ll stumble across a variety of different show tickets for lower, on the day prices 💸

Buckingham Palace has opened its Gardens to the public! A great destination for a pleasant afternoon out in the city. The sun will be out next week ☀️ so it’s the perfect time for a picnic!

Boris confirms reopening on 17th May 👏🏻

As the funeral for the late Duke of Edinburgh took place on Saturday, myself and many other Black cab drivers had hoped to pay our respects in a tribute arranged by the taxi trade during the nationwide minutes silence. Upon arrival at The Mall waiting to join the line of black cabs, we had been informed this had been cancelled by the police due to a demonstration taking place nearby.
What a shame.

At least the cab trade were able to show their respects to Prince Philip on the day of his death with an impromptu tribute on The Mall for a man who served this country for over 80years.

It’s nice to see the black cab trade coming together in times like this to make a marked show of their respect and gratitude 🖤
