🚕📞 LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE OFFICE TEAM! 💛🖤

Behind every smooth taxi booking is an office team answering calls, juggling drivers, handling last-minute bookings—and somehow trying to be everywhere at once! 😂👏

No office team? Just confused drivers in a car park! 🤣🚕

🚨 IMPORTANT TAXI SAFETY NOTICE – BLACKWOOD 🚨

We’ve been informed of unlicensed taxis operating within the Blackwood area, approaching people on the high street for “lifts”.

Your safety matters to us, so we want to remind everyone to take a few simple precautions when getting into a taxi — especially when travelling alone or late at night.

🚕 With Relay Taxi, all of our vehicles are clearly branded, making them easy to identify.

🛡️ KEEP SAFE WHEN TRAVELLING IN A TAXI

✅ Confirm the company with the driver before getting into the vehicle.

📞 If you’re in any doubt, call the taxi office while the vehicle is waiting and confirm it is your booking.

🔎 Check the taxi plates — licensed vehicles should display the relevant plates issued by the licensing authority on the vehicle, including the front, rear and rear windows where applicable.

🪪 Ask the driver to show you their ID if you’re unsure. A licensed driver should be able to provide identification.

📱 Keep your phone charged before travelling, particularly if you’re travelling alone.

📍 Share your location with a friend or family member, or stay on the phone with someone while travelling if you feel safer doing so.

📲 BOOK THROUGH THE RELAY TAXI APP

When you book through our app, you can track your driver and view your vehicle details, helping you identify the vehicle arriving for your booking.

🚨 FRIDAY NIGHT PSA 🚨

You’ve spent £47 on drinks, £18 on cheesy chips and somehow think £6 is too much for a taxi home. 😂

Absolute weapon. 🤦‍♂️

Don’t be that person stood outside the kebab shop at 2am.

📲 Book the taxi.
🏡 Get home.
🛏️ Go to bed.
🌅Wake up tomorrow and pretend you remember the night. 👀

We are deeply disappointed and saddened by an incident that took place in one of our vehicles last night, where one of our regular customers assaulted a member of our driving team.

For over 10 years, we have proudly served our local community, working day and night to provide a safe, reliable and professional taxi service. Our drivers work incredibly hard to get people home safely, often dealing with difficult situations while simply trying to do their jobs.

To have a member of our team treated in this way, particularly by someone who has regularly used our service, is extremely upsetting and disappointing.

Our drivers are people too. They deserve to be treated with the same respect and decency that they show to every passenger who gets into one of our vehicles. No driver should ever have to fear being assaulted while simply carrying out their job.

We will always do our best to support our customers and the community we have served for the past decade, but we also have a responsibility to protect our drivers.

We would like to thank those customers who continue to support us, respect our drivers and appreciate the service they provide. It genuinely means a lot.

Please remember: our drivers are just trying to do their jobs and get everyone home safely. Respect goes both ways.

Police are now dealing with this incident.
