COVID VACCINATIONS.
At Tom's taxis we are extremely grateful to everyone who has helped keep our driver and his family safe by following the Covid rules. We have already transported several vulnerable and elderly people to receive their vaccines.
With the laws regarding car sharing and breaching the lockdown laws with mixing family or social bubbles a number of clients have approached us to ensure we will be offering a waiting service for those going to either Spalding or Stamford for vaccination. We will not charge waiting time for this. We are aware there is limited public transport to Spalding. Please do request your booking at your earliest opportunity as there will be lots of people needing our service. We would just like to take the opportunity to advise that we do offer assistance and have a wheelchair if its needed and will assist anyone struggling. If anyone is concerned or worried about being able to afford the cost of a taxi for such an important life saving reason then please do contact us as we may still be able to help and organise funding if you are eligible or on a low income. Our driver will be pleased to help anyone with mobility issues and is DBS checked with many years care experience. Keep safe.

As new government guidance has come into force we would like to reassure our customers that we will continue to operate as throughout this pandemic with all safety measures currently in force. Customers will still be asked that their journey is essential. Sadly we have been asked to undertake journeys by some individuals during this pandemic and received abuse for refusing them. Please be thoughtful and considerate of each other. These rules are in place to protect us all. Our driver will continue to wear a mask/ clean thoroughly between passengers and use hand sanitizer. We would ask that customers follow the government guidance. Please be considerate of our driver and his extended family and if you are not feeling well or have symptoms of covid please do not place them at risk. We wish you all to remain as safe and well as possible and are thankful for all the kind messages of support we have received and indeed our regular customers who have continued to need us during this time. If you are self isolating or now shielding again then we will still deliver your shopping and assist with any other needs as we have been doing during this pandemic. Please all take care and stay safe. 🌈👍

Victoria's Secret has declared bankruptcy. Zara closed 1.200 stores. Chanel, Hermes and Rolex have stopped production. Nike is getting ready for stage two of redundancies. AirBnb founder says that due to the pandemic, 12 years of effort have been destroyed in 6 weeks. Starbucks has announced the permanent closure of 400 stores. And the list goes on...

Five months of the pandemic have created many debts, many of their friends and family are out of work, jobless and tens of thousands of businesses are out of business.

If the company you work in continues to trade, treat it well. We face a pandemic that cannot be controlled. 2020 is survival, leave aside daily complaints and anything, stop moaning and be happy and responsible for what you have."
