We are thrilled to introduce Gareth Jones, our In-House Driver Trainer/Assessor

Gareth has been with the Company for 18 months and offers a host of experience and knowledge within his field, now taking on the additional role of onboarding our new drivers, and on-going training for our Fleet, to keep skills sharp.

Here at Stennetts, road safety, fleet compliance and driver well-being are our top priorities, Gareth will work closely with both new and experienced drivers to conduct routine assessments, refine driving techniques and ensure we continue to operate at the absolute highest standards.

After many years behind the wheel, it's time for Mike "Tuk Tuk" Williams to hang up the keys and swap the roads of the UK for the sunshine of Thailand.

Mike has been a valued member of the Stennetts team and a driver who has always taken great pride in his work. Anyone who knows Mike will know that his DAF XG+ was never just a truck—it was his truck. Kept immaculate and treated with care, it was a reflection of the professionalism and pride he brought to the job every day.

Alongside being a reliable and conscientious driver, Mike's witty nature and sense of humour have made him a popular character around the yard. Whether it was a quick one-liner, a bit of banter, or simply keeping spirits up during a busy day, Mike has always brought plenty of personality to the team.

As he begins his next adventure in Thailand, we'd like to thank him for his service, commitment, and the contribution he has made to the business over the years. His professionalism, loyalty, and good humour will certainly be missed.

From everyone at Stennetts, we wish you a long, happy, and healthy retirement.

After more than 30 years with Stennetts, it's time to say goodbye and good luck to Dave Cashen as he heads off to the coast for a well-earned change of scenery.

Dave has been an integral part of the business for decades. Whether it was sorting out problems, clearing up someone else's mess, lending a hand when needed, or simply being the dependable "mop in the corner" that kept things moving, Dave has always been there.

Now, it would be fair to say Dave's people skills have occasionally been compared to those of a toddler, and he has certainly been a general pain in the arse at times, but behind that has been a fiercely loyal, hardworking, and dedicated member of the team who has given an incredible amount to the business over the years.

Thirty years of service is a remarkable achievement, and Dave's contribution to Stennetts cannot be overstated. He has seen the business through plenty of changes and has played a part in helping it become what it is today.

From everyone at Stennetts, thank you for your loyalty, commitment, and hard work over the years. We wish you nothing but happiness, good health, and success in your next chapter by the sea.

🚛 Traffic Operative Required – Ingham, Suffolk 🚛

Stennetts Transport is looking for a motivated and organised Traffic Operative to join our busy transport team.

Key responsibilities include:
✔ Planning and supporting daily transport operations
✔ Liaising with customers and drivers by phone and email
✔ Managing unexpected delays and operational issues
✔ Operating the weighbridge for public and storage customers
✔ Finding backloads and maximising vehicle utilisation
✔ Building strong relationships with customers across the UK
✔ Ensuring compliance with transport legislation

What we're looking for:
✅ Excellent communication skills
✅ Strong attention to detail
✅ Good geographical knowledge of the UK
✅ Ability to work under pressure
✅ Team player with a positive attitude
✅ Flexible approach to working hours

The role is based at our office in Ingham, Suffolk, with operational hours between 06:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday.

Benefits include:
• Competitive salary (depending on experience)

• 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Additional leave
• Free parking
• Company van for travel to and from work
• Permanent, full-time position

Applicants must be willing to work every third Saturday morning and participate in an out-of-hours telephone rota.
