Due to the snowdonia area’s popularity, Pen y Pass car park operates as a pre-book only car park during the spring and summer seasons.
If you’re planning on walking the Miners’ or Pyg tracks you can park in either Nant Peris Llanberis , Beddgelert or Betws Y Coed this Easter weekend , you can also use the convenience of a Taxis pick up from your Hotel or b&b and take the Minibus Taxis from CK-Cabs - Tacsis Yr Wyddfa ( Snowdon Taxis )
Although Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon )is served by the Sherpa bus service sometimes it can more expedient to use a taxi, when going a bit out of the way, or with a group of people, it can be a good choice. Groups of up to 8 can often be accommodated in minibus taxis with large boot space for Bags
Ck-Taxis are also useful for taking you to a more remote drop-off point if, say, undertaking a linear walk like the Welsh 3000s.
Remember that using a taxi also supports the local economy.
The Sherpa bus service during the season sees a very regular service running up and down the Llanberis Pass, serving Pen y Pass (for the Pyg Track and Miners’ Track), Llanberis (for the Llanberis Path) and the Park & Ride car park at Nant Peris. Buses also run round the mountain serving the other paths, though this service is not as regular.
However, the bus service can have its limitations, so taxis can be very convenient especially in a group of 6-8 passengers ( booking in advance is Usually Better)

Our Taxis can often be found waiting at Pen y Pass, Llanberis, and at the Park & Ride car park (at Nant Peris). But we do recommend to pre book your transportation to avoid disappointment during busy periods and early morning pick ups

LLanberis Path
If your walking down from Yr wyddfa ( Snowdon) and on the llanberis path call us on the way down on the mountain to pre book your taxi , so you can take your time knowingly you will have your Taxi ( or minibus ) at the bottom to take you back to your starting point or your preferred destination . ☎️ 01286 871768
Pick up point will be at the first gate off the llanberis path , and a few yards from the cattle grid on Victoria Terrace ( see photo) or at Snowdon Mountain Railway pick up point
You should also bear in mind that there is no real mobile signal at car parks for the watkin path , Snowdon Ranger path , Rhyd Ddu , so card payments can be very difficult.
