I carried out a visit to Wrights/TOA earlier this week along with a Trading Standards colleague. We reviewed how they are operating and how information is collated on their despatch system and the use of the Helensburgh numbers. We are comfortable that there are no breaches from what we have witnessed in line with previous inspections/visits.
There isn’t currently anything more that I feel can be progressed on this matter at this time without having complaints from any complainants who allege that they have been misled etc. SO IF YOU HAVE CALLED 673333 674444 OR 675555 and been charged more than the pick up fees of £3.80 between 7am - 10pm and more than £4.55 after 10pm to 7am in a standard car to get in the vehicle in Argyll and Bute and they charged more than these rates complain to west dumbarton council at the following website www.west-dunbarton.gov.uk

All Taxis that pick up or drop off in the Arrochar hotel are being charged £100 to stop and get passengers from their illegal parking cameras as under Scottish law these charge are not enforceable as its only Argyll and Bute council or the police that can charge you for this. so anyone going to these hotels be where although you give your registration at the reception, the forginers who are running these hotels are saying the charges are legal as its private property under the freedom of right of way under scottish law these charges are illegal, so best idea is to boycot these hotels or the taxi drivers will need to add the £100 charge on to your fare
