Over three decades ago, Coopers started with just four cars and a big ambition. Today we're proud to have a fleet of more than 60 vehicles, serving Chorley, Leyland and the surrounding areas.

None of it would have been possible without our loyal customers and our brilliant drivers. Thank you for being part of our journey. 💙

🎉 36 YEARS OF COOPERS TAXIS! 🚖🎂
On this day back in 1990 (03/10/1990), Coopers Taxis officially took to the road!

What began with Philip and Lynne Cooper - alongside our very first saloon cars, classic minibuses, and the famous Chorley black cab—has proudly served the people of Chorley, Leyland, Euxton, and beyond for thirty-six incredible years.

Looking back through the archives brings back so many memories:
* From 5-digit phone numbers (61666) to our long-standing 01257 261666
* From retro Jettas, DAF combis, and Midi buses to our modern fleet of comfortable saloons and estates
* Countless school runs, airport getaways, Saturday night pick-ups, wedding days, and emergency errands
A milestone like this wouldn't be possible without our community. A massive THANK YOU to:
* Our loyal customers who have trusted us to get you where you need to be, day and night, decade after decade.
* Our incredible drivers and staff, past and present, whose hard work, reliability, and friendly chats have kept our wheels turning since day one.

Here’s to looking back with pride and moving forward together for many more miles down the road! 🥂✨

Since 1990, we've been the ones locals call when they need a ride, through Chorley, through Leyland, and everywhere in between.

Three decades is a long time in this business, and it's only happened because people keep trusting us with their journeys, whether that's the school run, a night out, or a trip to the airport.

Thanks for sticking with us all these years. Here's to many more.

Flying out of Manchester Airport? Skip the stress of parking, permits, and working out drop-off charges.

One-way transfers start from just £78, and that already includes parking and permit fees, so there's nothing extra to sort out on the day. Just book, get picked up, and get dropped right at the terminal.

Nights out, work dos, family days out, whatever the occasion, splitting a taxi shouldn't mean squeezing five of you into one car.

We've got everything from 6/8 seaters right up to 13/16 seater minibuses, so the whole group travels together, no separate cars, no one left waiting for a second lift.

Get in touch for a group quote and we'll sort the rest.

This Monday marks the International Day of Peace, a moment to pause and think about the kind of world we want to be part of, and how we treat each other along the way.

At Coopers, we get to meet so many different people every single day, all walking their own path, all deserving of a bit of kindness and respect. Small things like that go a long way.

Wishing everyone a peaceful weekend, from all of us at Coopers Taxis.
