To all our lovely customers home schooling.

Atlas Taxis owners and management has donated £100.00 in order for us to offer breakfast to families who are finding it very challenging during the pandemic and home schooling. We have purchased:

🥐 Boxes of cereal
🥐 Crumpets
🥐 Chocolate waffles
🥐 Bagels
🥐 Pain au chocolates
🥐 Breakfast bars

We have also put together a total of 20 stationary packs which include:

✏️A ruler
✏️Pack of pencils
✏️2 Black Ball Pens
✏️A highlighter
✏️Pack of sticky notes
✏️A5 writing pad

Anyone who would greatly benefit from any of the above, please message Atlas Taxis and inform us what you would like. We will personally deliver these to your door over the next few days. If you do require our support, we want to reassure you that this will remain confidential. We understand that some individuals find it very difficult to ask for support but please do, this is why we are offering this support.

❗️We are only able to deliver within Consett, County Durham and its surrounding villages (DH8 postcode).

❗️Please be aware, some of these products may contain or have traces of nuts. Therefore please ensure you read the list of ingredients if you or someone else have a known allergy. Atlas Taxis will not be held responsible

💛 ATLAS TAXIS CONTINUE TO SUPPORT OUR DRIVERS BY HAVING, WEEKLY RENTS REDUCED BY 35%💛

Our drivers financial well-being is one of ours most prioritised needs for us as a company during such challenging times, as without these essential key workers, we as a service could not operate.

Therefore, as we enter the second national lockdown, our management team reviewed all finances and were highly fortunate that we are able again to reduce our drivers weekly rent by 35%, in the effect that our drivers will still be able to afford their personal outgoings as well as provide an exceptional service to our devoted customers.

It is extensive that we not only support our community, but also our drivers and staff. We honestly appreciate and express great gratitude to you all. Thank you for being an asset to our company.

💛🌈 YOU ARE NOT ALONE 🌈💛

As a second national lockdown begins, we understand and acknowledge the impact this will have on individuals physical, emotional and mental well-being.

When we are facing a crisis of any sort, we are bound to feel; fear, anxiety and various other negative emotions. These are normal natural responses to challenging situations and uncertainty.

Mental health is a need/challenge that affects many individuals in several ways, some don’t even realise. Therefore it is essential that you prioritise your mental well being and acknowledge that ‘It’s ok, not to be ok’.

Mental health is important to us all at Atlas Taxis. We are here to advise services to those who require any support or guidance regarding their mental health, this applies to staff, drivers and our customers. We believe it is important to make people aware that there are various services still operating and meeting peoples needs during COVID 19 that individuals can engage with, to seek advice and support or it can even be as simple as one of our drivers listening whilst you have a little chat with them during your taxi journey.

Together, collectively we can overcome mental health. Please ensure you check on your friends and family, those who are quiet and even those who seem that little bit louder. Having feelings doesn’t make you a ‘negative person’. It makes you human.

Value yourself and others, ask for help, don’t avoid emotions, reward yourself, focus, be able to laugh at yourself, and most importantly, enjoy being YOU.

2020... where families were and still remain broken due to social distancing, and lockdowns for their own safety. Where so many loved ones were taken from us due to COVID 19 and various other reasons; young, old, male, female etc. Where su***de, loneliness and mental health rates were and still remain a crisis. We can go on and on.

However, in 2020 we saw communities coming together to support the vulnerable. We saw, unity as a nation, we saw, our key workers continuing to work the front line and got recognition and respect they deserve. We shared so much love, joy, happiness, through ensuring everyone around us was ok, painting our windows with rainbows, decorating the community etc.

2020 has truly been a rollercoaster, tonight all of us at Atlas Taxis, will be thinking about those families who have lost someone special this year, we send all our love and more. We also will be raising a glass for all of you tonight, wishing you all the best for 2021. Stay safe and continue to do what you are doing, support local companies, keep sharing the love and kindness and as a community we will overcome this. Take care.
