🐟🦦💚 A little mother-and-daughter adventure with a difference! 💚🐟

This evening, Alyssia and I took part in the Bubbles and Squeaks River Parade, and what a lovely experience it was! 🥰

This brilliant community project brought together local children, families, artists and nature experts to celebrate our beautiful Dorset rivers through giant puppets, handmade river creatures, music and creativity. 🌿✨

But it was about so much more than putting on a spectacular parade. It was about raising awareness of the amazing wildlife living in our rivers and the importance of protecting them for the future. 💧🐸

I absolutely love seeing creative projects that bring communities together, get children involved and make a difference. Being able to share the experience with my Mini Me made it even more special. ❤️

There was plenty of creativity, a little bit of magic and some wonderfully imaginative river creatures! 😂🐟

A huge well done to everyone involved in making it happen. What a fantastic way to bring people together and shine a light on the importance of our rivers. 💚

🚕💙 BIG BLUE HAS BEEN ON AN ADVENTURE! 💙🚕
⏰ 5:20am start… ☕️ barely had time to remember my own name, let alone make a proper cup of tea! 😂

Today’s adventure took us from West Dorset all the way to Tonbridge, Kent — over 300 miles along the south coast ( and back) and a 7-hour round trip! 🚗💨

And here’s the funny bit… I’ve never actually been to Kent before! 🤣

So not only was I earning my crust, I was ticking another place off the map too. Who needs a sightseeing holiday when you’re a taxi driver? 😂

Big Blue has clocked up some serious miles today, and I think we’ve both earned a sit down… although she’ll probably be asking for diesel rather than a cup of tea! ⛽️😂

From local village runs to adventures across the country, you never quite know where Collected by Chrissy might be next!

💙🚕 IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE IT ALL WORTHWHILE! 🥰

Yesterday I received a lovely thank-you card from a customer heading off on holiday, followed by a WhatsApp message from a bride that genuinely made my day. 💌💍

Of course, I know my customers are paying for a service, and I always do my best to get everyone where they need to be safely, comfortably and with a smile.

But sometimes, it’s the little things that mean the most. A handwritten card, a quick text, or a simple “thank you” to let me know I’ve made someone’s day a little easier or been a small part of a special occasion. ❤️

Running a small independent business means so much more than simply getting from A to B. It’s about the people you meet, the connections you make and those little moments that remind you why you love what you do.

So, to the lovely customers who take a moment out of their day to send a message or a card — thank you! You might think it’s only a little gesture, but I promise it can make a BIG difference to my day. 🥰

🩶🐆 PLEASE WELCOME LADY GREY! 🐆🩶

Well… the newest member of the Collected by Chrissy family has officially been introduced! 👀

Meet Lady Grey — a rather gorgeous 2010 Jaguar XF, and yes… her name is absolutely inspired by the tea. 😂☕

Just like her namesake, she’s smooth, sophisticated and a little bit fancy — although I suspect she’ll be considerably more at home prowling the Dorset lanes than sitting in a china cup! 😂

And being a Jaguar, she has a few feline qualities I’m rather looking forward to…

🐆 Agile and smooth enough to glide along our winding West Dorset country lanes.
🐆 Sleek and powerful for those longer journeys and airport runs.
🐆 Comfortable and refined when you’ve got a few hours of road ahead of you.
🐆 And hopefully with just the right amount of purr under the bonnet! 😂

But before Lady Grey can start prowling the roads, she has a little bit of work to do behind the scenes while I get her fully prepared for her Hackney Carriage testing. 🚕📝

💙 Big Blue isn’t going anywhere just yet!

She’ll be staying on the road for the next few weeks while Lady Grey gets herself ready for her new career.

Then, once Lady Grey is fully tested and ready to go, Big Blue will be heading off on a little winter spa holiday. 😂💙

She’ll be getting some much-needed TLC, a bit of pampering and a proper rest before returning in the spring all refreshed and ready for another season of adventures.

And don’t worry… I’ve already promised Big Blue that Lady Grey isn’t replacing her 💙

Big Blue is getting a new friend! 💙🐆🩶

I’m very excited to introduce Lady Grey, the newest member of the Collected by Chrissy family. 🩶

She’s not quite ready to hit the road just yet, but Lady Grey will be available for bookings soon! 🚕✨

I’m keeping a few details under wraps for now… but I think you’re going to like her! 😉

Big Blue & Lady Grey… I think they’re going to make quite a team. 💙🩶

When do I get to eat some proper food?

Chrissys coconut Chicken Curry

Serves 4 | Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 30 mins

Ingredients

* 600g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
* 1 tbsp vegetable or coconut oil
* 1 large onion, finely sliced
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
* 1 red pepper, sliced
* 2 tbsp medium curry powder
* 1 tsp ground cumin
* 1 tsp ground coriander
* ½ tsp turmeric
* ½ tsp chilli powder — more or less to taste
* 1 x 400ml tin coconut milk
* 200ml chicken stock
* 2 tbsp tomato purée
* 1 tbsp mango chutney (optional, but delicious)
* 1 tbsp lime juice
* Salt and black pepper
* Fresh coriander, to finish

If you want it really rich and restaurant-style, add 1–2 tbsp of double cream right at the end.

I serve over jasmine rice with a naan bread 💙
