The final goodbyes have been made and our blue door will be closed by the end of the day.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all the wonderful messages of love and support.

There is not a dry eye in the house.

A group of our ex team members have joined forces, taken the old so well remembered phone number and created something new to follow in our footsteps.

We wish them all the very best of luck in their new venture and trust the people of Droitwich will love them as much as they did us.

It is with the utmost heartbreak and genuine sadness, that we need to inform you that,
after 35 years, Blue Door Logistics Ltd will be making our final journeys.

Any pre bookings made after this date, customers will be contacted with a solution that will ensure your journeys will still go ahead with no inconvenience to yourselves.

Please believe, closing our doors is absolutely the last resort and something we never thought would have to happen.

We can no longer fight against the demand for a service with a cheaper price (at a cost of lesser standard, safety and regulation adherence).

We have prided ourselves on providing the safest and best quality of service.
There was no way we would be prepared to lower that standard.

We would like to thank our team.
Office, drivers, workshop & P.A’s past and present, from the bottom of our hearts.
Without your loyalty, hard work and dedication we would not have achieved what we all did.
And we will be forever grateful to you.
Some having been part of the Blue Door Family for nearly as long as we have been established.
Family run in every sense of the word.
We even for many years, had 3 generations of ladies from the same family in our team.

And finally, our wonderful loyal customers.
We have seen you on your best days and we have seen you on your darkest days.
We have taken ladies in labour and we have taken people to funerals.
We have been with you on your child’s first day of school and seen them grow up and taken them to their first day at college or work and beyond.

We have loved and are very grateful to have had the privilege to be part of your lives and a household name in Droitwich.

We have seen so many changes within the industry during recent times and most are not for the better.

We urge you all to please take extra caution when using bigger companies.
Check the vehicle has a licence plate on the back.
Take photos of the registration plate and taxi licence before you get in.
Any professional, genuine driver will have absolutely no issues with showing you their licence photo ID.

A Statement from Paul & Jackie - Blue Door Logistics Ltd

Today marks one of the most difficult days in our lives. As we announce that Blue Door Logistics Ltd is entering administration, bringing to an end over 35 years of serving our community.

This is not a decision that has been taken lightly. Over the past 18 months, we have personally invested significant amounts of our own money into the business in an attempt to keep it trading, protect jobs and continue serving our loyal customers. We did everything we possibly could, but despite our efforts, we have reached a point where the business is no longer financially sustainable.

The transport industry has changed dramatically, rising operating costs have placed enormous pressure on businesses like ours, the growth of low-cost national platforms has fundamentally changed the market place, often driving down price levels that local operators simply cannot compete with. At the same time there has been a continued decline in the number of new proffesional drivers entering the industry, making recruitment increasingly difficult.

We also believe that inconsistent standards across the sector have created an uneven playing field, where businesses investing heavily in Compliance, safety and quality have found it difficult to compete. For companies that have always tried doing things properly, these challenges have become overwhelming.

While today’s news is deeply personal to our family, it is also a sad day for our local community, Blue Door Logistics Ltd has been more than just a business, it has been a place of employment, friendship and support for countless people over the past three and a half decades.

To every member of staff, past and present, thank you. Your loyalty, dedication and hard work have been the foundation of everything we achieved. We are incredibly proud of what we built together, and we will never forget the commitment you have shown us through both the good times and the difficult ones.

To our customers, many of whom have been with us for decades, thank you for placing your trust in us. Your loyalty has meant more than words can express, and we are sincerely grateful for every journey you entrusted.

Although this chapter ends with great sadness, we remain immensely proud of the legacy Blue Door Logistics Ltd leaves behind, for over 35 years we have served our community with integrity, professionalism and care, and those values will always remain.

Finally we would like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout this journey, whilst today is incredibly painful, we take comfort knowing that we have done everything we could to keep Blue Door Logistics going, sadly, some circumstances become impossible to overcome, no matter how much determination or personal sacrifice is made.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of this community for more than 35 years.

Today we say Eid Mubarak to some of our great drivers, staff, loyal customers and friends as the month of Ramadan has drawn to a close.

We now have a Defib Unit & Bleed Kit installed at our group premesies. Named as “The Riley Cabinet” in memory of a special young man, Riley Day, where time and an on hand unit could have possibly made the difference to a horrible outcome last year.

This will be registered & recorded with all relevant services to ensure ease of locating in the event it may be required.

We’re very fortunate to have multiple first aiders on site at any point, with the support of a local friend, James M, along with us and Blue Door Group we now have this installed and readily available.

Access codes will be available like any cabinet when the emergency services are called Or by any member of the team across our multiple companies on site.

⭐️This may be as an additional income working part time or a complete change and you would like full time, if you have the skill set then reach out and come have a look.

⭐️We have the latest equipment for DPF reconditioning, tyre changes & diagnostics, coupled with multiple workshops and an environment that is fun and energetic.

We’re proud of our Motor Ombudsman, Independant Garage Association and Institute of the Motor Industry accreditations/approval. We are something special!

So today we celebrate the birthday of the man that created Blue Door Group, for over 35 years he’s been the guy that has offered endless employment opportunities locally, made the name Blue Door, something that everyone remembers and ensured a service has remained to local residents of Droitwich and beyond. All the time supported by the “The Real Boss” his loving wife.

He’s not one for pictures or statements, but we want to say thank you for everything that has been created and achieved with you at the helm.

So from all of the team behind the scenes at Blue Door, the thousands of customers over the years and anyone that has had the pleasure and of working with you, Happy Birthday! 🥳
