Overview
We are looking for someone to assist with customer's services and sales in our small organisation based in Edinburgh.
Looking for someone with previous telephone experience and good knowledge of UK geography and Edinburgh, preferably someone who has worked in Removals industry in the past.
You will be expected to maintain day to day operations of the business while taking customer calls and liaising with colleagues (drivers) to ensure smooth ex*****on of the moves and achieve high customer satisfaction.
The role of the Customer Services and Operations Executive is very challenging and bears huge responsibility. You will in most cases be the first point of contact for most customers and therefore, your English language skills, telephone manner, politeness, and customer services skills should be impeccable.
You will also be communicating with colleagues (drivers and porters), and contractors, on daily basis.
Courteousness and professionalism will be the key in all such communications.
All communication with customers, colleagues and contractors is reproduced in writing therefore; your written English skills should be flawless.
Providing customers with price quotations will be your domain as well, this would need methodical analytical approach and skills – good common sense and judgement will be an asset.
Asking customers if they’d like additional services and quoting them based on their requirements is also crucial a bit of sales experience goes a long way.
Operations management requires attention to details, you will be required to carefully log jobs and allocate appropriate resources to each move, monitor the move as it takes place and ensure that everything is completed smoothly.
During the pandemic we have been working from home, so working from home is a preferred option at the moment.
There will be sufficient training provided to assist you in coping with all aspects of the job.

Reply to customer emails from last night.
Call back customers who have submitted ‘quotes’ and ‘call-back’ requests during the night.
Check availability for potential moves, call contractors to ensure their availability.
Liaise with contractors to obtain prices for specific requests
Preparing jobsheets for drivers and crew to be able to perform their job.
Requirements:
Degree level education preferred – but not essential
Native English Speaker with good written and spoken skills.
Available to work Monday to Saturday: 9am – 6pm (UK) time – with 30min lunch break.
Also possible to do Monday to Friday.
Salary:
You shall be paid minimum wage during training period, which should last no more than 2-4 weeks depending upon how quickly you learn.
We shall pay £10 per hour, at least 35 hours a week or more.
You shall be self employed and invoice us at the end of the each month.
