The end of the summer season 2026 is rapidly approaching....
A reminder that if you want to get out on the water taxi, or try sailing or powerboating, you don't have long! Our last day of on water activity is Sunday 25th October. After this date we will be running land based courses only until March 2027.

What a windy windy day!! The water taxi will not be running for the rest of today. It will be back in action tomorrow (Thursday 15th October) as the wind is forecast to drop.
The video doesn't do the waves in the Bay justice - they are pretty big!

Tomorrow is looking pretty 'fruity' - a technical term to describe rather strong winds! Please call us before coming to take the water taxi, as at present, we can't run it tomorrow due to the direction of the forecast winds.

What a fantastic day! 20 people from a range of venues - Stonehaven to Stromness and most places in between - came together to talk all things teaching powerboating and sailing, share ideas and innovations and eat their body weight in cakes! 😅 (thanks so much to for supplying us with gorgeous food!

Today marked the final day of these sailing sessions, and what a journey it's been! 🌊
Over the past few weeks, our participants have shown up, learned the ropes (literally!), and tackled everything from knot-tying to navigating changing winds. They've grown in skill, confidence, and teamwork, and we couldn't be prouder.
To every Saltwater Scholar: your hard work, curiosity, and resilience have been inspiring to watch. You've earned every bit of this celebration! 👏
