Celebrating Our Hereford Hit Squad Volunteers – National Volunteers' Week

As part of National Volunteers' Week, Hereford City Council would like to say a huge thank you to our incredible Hereford Hit Squad volunteers.

Whether they're helping to set up community events, welcoming visitors, supporting activities, managing logistics, or lending a hand wherever it's needed, the Hit Squad plays a vital role in making our events a success throughout the year.

Their dedication, enthusiasm, and community spirit help bring people together and make Hereford's events enjoyable, safe, and memorable for everyone who attends.

We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and commitment they give to our city. Your hard work often happens behind the scenes, but it never goes unnoticed.

Thank you to every member of the Hereford Hit Squad for everything you do to support our community.

A reminder that the Hereford Zipper Bus will travel straight from New Market Street to Asda, missing out Broad Street and Bridge Street, and on the return will head straight to Friars Street, missing out Bridge Street, during the May Fair next week.

With just a week to go...

Witness the much-anticipated traditional opening ceremony of Hereford's May Fair, which will take place on 5th May 3.30pm, outside Hereford Cathedral.

Members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend. 💛

The opening ceremony of the May Fair has age-old ties with the City of Hereford, stretching all the way back to 1121, when King Henry I granted the Bishop of Hereford the right to hold a three day fair.
That makes the May Fair 905 years old this year!
