Due to continued expansion we are currently looking to recruit a Class 1 specialist HGV low loader driver. You will be joining our growing family firm to continue to deliver on customer requirements to a high standard.
** Please note that unfortunately we are not able to put anybody through their Class 1 test and we will not outbase the lorry **
This job does entail being away all week, (Monday - Friday)
The role consists of step frame low loader / abnormal load work & occasional general haulage.
Experience is desirable however we will consider a candidate who is willing to learn.
Essential attributes

🔵Willing to put a days shift in - days can be very long
🔵Able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
🔵Keep the vehicle & trailer to the required high standard
🔵Flexible working in all locations which includes being away all week
🔵Pragmatic approach to problem solving. Being adaptable and thinking outside of the box is essential.
The Job details:
Thus role includes site work aswell as moving a variety of agricultural / construction machinery and abnormal loads around the UK and with an increasing amount of our work being performed internationally.
You are required to look after our own vehicles and trailers like they are your own. The vehicles are regularly checked and must be seen to be kept to a standard. (Oil/ Water & cleanliness)
Flexibility around short notice weekend working and busy periods is essential however we will try to keep them to a minimum.
We are a small company that pride ourselves on our work ethic and standard of working. We all work as hard as each other to support each other and to ensure that work is completed in a safe and timely manner.
Pay is a flat rate + Bonus (Wages will equate to experience) Very competitive rate.
The bonus is proportionate to the earnings of your vehicle each week.
CPC courses provided by the company.

Our teams have recently assisted customers with CHP site engine changes across the UK. As a specialist machinery mover, we provide all skates, jacks and lifting equipment for each individual operation.
One site required additional workshop facilities to support the overhaul of its alternator while the engine was removed. This will help reduce downtime in future operations. We were able to provide them with our mobile workshop unit, which offers a dry, powered facility for on-site equipment work. decreasing the need to take equipment off-site and lowering overall overhaul costs.

Recently, we were commissioned to assist with the dredging of the Horncastle canal. Working in collaboration with the Environment Agency and several other companies, our new clamshell bucket mounted on our 65 PM proved to be an ideal solution.

The closure of one highway lane, facilitated by traffic management and temporary traffic lights, minimised disruption to the public and enabled safe vehicle operation in a controlled working area.

With a reach of up to 16 metres and the capacity to remove up to 750 kilograms of material at a time, it was the only machine suitable for the task.

The last recorded time a dredging operation was conducted in this area was over two decades ago.

It is imperative to restore the canal’s flow to prevent flooding during heavy rainfall and to encourage wildlife into the slower-moving sections of the current.
