🔵 Review on the MAN 🔵

So, a review of the MAN Truck & Bus we’ve had on demonstration this week against our fleet of Scania UK trucks. We have had many people ask ourselves this week what we think of the MAN.

Overall… it’s not a bad truck. The gearbox is a bit sluggish to get going, and it labours when trying to get up to speed. The suspension isn't too happy when you start pushing it up to its load limits. However, the cab is nice and comfortable, and one of the nicest-looking trucks on the market.

We have put a mixture of everything behind it this week, from heavy haul to standard step-frame work.

To put it into a short context. If a MAN was a VW and a Scania was an Audi. VW (MAN) does everything really well, and you will be happy with your investment; however… It’s just not quite an Audi (Scania).

As many of you all know our MD lives and breaths Scania UK trucks, the only brand of truck to ever wear the Haddington name… however… when we were approached by MAN Truck & Bus and they insisted on us try their new demonstration vehicle we thought what’s the worst that could happen? (Almost even the right colour)

So with that we threw the wafer deck behind her and send it on its way to Holland! 🇳🇱

As looks go it’s definitely got the stance but as performance and comfort go you’ve got big shoes to fill lady!

We delivered another Haddington-supplied 20ft container to a customer this week. It certainly wasn't a straightforward drop. Access was nearly nonexistent for our vehicles; however, with some very skilled driving and a bit of dry weather, we positioned the container exactly where the customer required. Another happy customer!
