🚚🐴 Another busy weekend on the road! 🐴🚚

It’s been another weekend of helping horses get safely to where they need to be. ❤️

First up were the lovely Amber and Bell, who we transported to their new Blue Cross foster home. 💙 We’re always proud to play a small part in helping horses on their journey to a brighter future.

Then it was time for a yard move for Reggie and Diamond. 🏡🐴 Two more horses safely delivered as they begin the next chapter of their lives.

Now it’s fingers crossed that all four settle happily into their new homes. 🤞❤️

Every journey is different, but the goal is always the same: calm, safe and stress-free travel for your horse.

📍 Yard moves
🏡 New homes
💙 Rescue & foster transport
🏆 Competitions & events
🏥 Vet appointments & urgent journeys
🚚 And much more!

As usual, we’ve been so busy transporting your horses that we’ve barely had time to take pictures, let alone upload them! 😂

So, here are this week’s smallest and largest passengers! 🐴

Our smallest passenger was heading off to his new home, while at the other end of the scale we had our largest passenger at a whopping 17.3hh! 😍

A gorgeous ex-police horse, who, despite his impressive size, still had plenty of room in our horsebox. He enjoyed a lovely day trip to the beach and travelled like an absolute pro. 🌊🐴

It’s always lovely to see the variety of horses we get to transport, from the little ones finding their new homes to the big lads enjoying a day out.

Thank you, as always, to everyone who trusts us with their horses. ❤️

I’ve been a little quiet on the socials recently, but it’s certainly not because things have been quiet behind the scenes! 😂

Since getting back from holiday, it’s been non-stop with livery work, clipping and transporting, so I’ve either forgotten to take photos or simply not had five minutes to actually post them! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Today was another busy one, but thankfully I actually managed to take some pictures AND find time to post them! 🙌🏻📸

Our first job was collecting the lovely Wolfe to head to the ROR Championships at Aintree. However, Wolfe clearly had other plans and, in his excitement, managed to pull a shoe off in his stable! 🤦🏻‍♀️🐴

A quick call to Aintree confirmed there was a farrier on site, so off we set. We arrived in good time, were met by the farrier, and the shoe was swiftly put back on. Crisis averted! 👌🏻

It turned into a great day with a very well-behaved Wolfe, and some lovely conversation with his mum too. ❤️

Then it was back home, only to get an emergency call-out to collect a poorly Pearl and take her to Churchfield Equine Clinic for a few days to get some much-needed antibiotics into her. No pictures of Pearl unfortunately, because by that point I was back in full-on taxi mode! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Fingers crossed Pearl makes a speedy recovery and is back home feeling much brighter very soon. ❤️🐴

Another day in the life of Armitage Animal Assist… where no two journeys are ever quite the same! 🚐🐴

🌴 We’re taking a little break! 🚢

Just a quick update to let everyone know that we’re enjoying a well-earned holiday. ☀️

Don’t worry though, it’s business as usual for many of our services. Thanks to the support of our fantastic freelance team and James behind the wheel, transport and scheduled services will continue while we’re away.

📅 My diary is with me, so I’m still happy to take bookings. Please bear with me if you don’t receive an immediate reply, as our signal may be a little unreliable at times. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

🚛 Normal service will resume from 2nd August.

Thank you all for your continued support and understanding. We look forward to seeing you and your four-legged friends again very soon! 🐴💚

The Great Yorkshire Show was today’s destination for the gorgeous veteran, Walter. ❤️

As always, he loaded beautifully, travelled like a true gentleman, and behaved impeccably throughout the day. He looked fantastic in a large, competitive class. While it wasn’t his day to make the top seven, every horse owner knows that results don’t always tell the full story.

For us, Walter is a champion where it matters. Calm, polite, and a pleasure to transport from start to finish. That’s exactly the kind of horse we love having on board.

Well done, Walter and your team. 🐴🚛

Another successful journey today with James behind the wheel, safely delivering Hermits Primrose to her new home. 🐴💚

This delivery was extra special as she joins Hermits Pina Colada, who we had the pleasure of transporting to the same home two years ago.

There’s no bigger compliment than a returning client. Thank you for trusting Armitage Animal Assist with your new equine additions. It means the world to us that you continue to put your faith in our experienced, fully licensed team to provide safe, calm and reliable transport.

Wishing Hermits Primrose every happiness as she settles into her new home! 🍀🐎

Not every passenger on the horsebox has four long legs… ❤️
Today we made a trip to Hird & Partners Vet Hospital with little Mabel, who is just two weeks old. She travelled like a little star alongside her mum, Nancy, with the partitions removed so they could stay together. We’re all keeping everything crossed that Mabel makes a speedy recovery and is back home where she belongs very soon. 🤞
Of course, travelling with a tiny foal comes with its own surprises… let’s just say there was a bit of a poonami on board! 😂
So, who better to help wash out the horsebox than my granddaughter? You’ve got to teach them young! 😉 Unfortunately, my brilliant plan backfired rather spectacularly when she decided to turn the hose on me instead! 🚿🤣
Never a dull moment in the world of horse transport! Wishing you a speedy recovery, little Mabel. ❤️

🚛 A warm welcome to James Longbottom! 🐴

We’re delighted to welcome James Longbottom to the driving team at Armitage Animal Assist.

As many of you know, I’ve often had to turn down transport requests because I’ve been busy providing my freelance equine services. By bringing James on board, we’re hoping to offer much better availability and help even more of our wonderful clients.

I’ll still be your main driver whenever I’m available. If I’m tied up but the horsebox is free, James will be on hand to provide the same professional, fully licensed transport service. Of course, if you’d like to request James as your driver, you’re very welcome to do so.

As always, if our horsebox isn’t available, I’ll continue working alongside the fantastic team at HHH Equine Transport, Yorkshire Equi-Move Horse Transport, Hoofing Around - Equine Transport, Denidot Equine Transport, AMB Horse Transport, Horsey dreams horse transport to make sure your transport needs are covered.

Whether it’s a trip to a competition, clinic, vets, training, or a new home, we’re here to help get your horses there safely and comfortably.

📞 To book transport, please contact Nikki on 07894 793184 or send us a message via Messenger.

Please join me in giving James a warm welcome to the team! 🐎🎉

An early collection to beat the heat today. Rosie made it home from Hird and Partners Shelf Equine Hospital after her stay. Fingers crossed she continues to heal.
