Warehouse Manager

Hanson Logistics ltd are looking to recruit an experienced warehouse manager to work at our Huddersfield site.
The role
Oversee the day to day running of our 3PL Top Tier COMAH warehouse operation, duties will include:
Support, develop and mentor a team of around 30 staff.
Oversee a busy inbound and outbound process function, including receipt, movement, picking and loading of products onto both third party and own vehicles.
Ensure the correct use of a warehouse management system, offering proactive and innovative improvement ideas where possible.
Conduct a perpetual stock control process ensuring stock levels are accurate and planning for future stock capacity requirements.
Ensure H&S requirements are met within the operation function, reporting feedback, and following procedures where required.
Ensure a clean, organised, and well-maintained warehouse facility.
The warehouse/logistics manager will work closely with the health and safety manager and contracts manager and will report to the operations director.

Key Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have considerable experience in warehouse functions, with a proven record of managing and co-ordinating people and processes. The successful candidate will have the following:
Ability to organise, manage and lead a team of individuals
Strong communication skills
Proactive nature with a motivation to offer new process improvements
Hard working and professional attitude
Numerically strong and computer literate
Accurate, with the ability to make decisions

Desirable but not essential
DGSA
CPC national certificate

The Package
Competitive salary including bonuses based on profits and performance
Working hours between 08:00-17:00 Monday-Friday
25 days holiday plus all bank holidays

Driver – Class C+E ADR

Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £12.50 an Hour, Time and 1/2 after 40 Hours, plus overnights & expenses
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Description: We are currently looking for candidates to join our busy distribution department as a class C+E delivery driver with ADR, hours of work are mainly Monday to Friday with the very occasional Saturday morning, experience of working in a similar environment would be advantageous.

Required Skills & Experience/ Responsibilities:

• Class C+E licence minimum 2 years driving experience.
• ADR licence.
• Be capable of working as part of a busy logistics operation.

Desirables:

• Experience of chemical sector is desirable but not essential as full training will be given to the successful candidate/s.
