The cheek of some people!
Meet Gary Campion. Gary lives in Felixstowe. Gary likes to take advantage of people, use their hospitality, their accommodation and their storage. But Gary doesn't like paying for all of that. Gary likes to lead everyone on a little dance, with his tales of woe, how he's been let down by someone or another, how he's expecting some money in the next few days, and he'll settle his debt then. Gary likes to guarantee that you'll get paid, and then the date he's guaranteed payment by, comes and goes, followed by another tale of woe about how he didn't get paid, or some other sorry excuse.
I first met Gary in October 2022, when I moved, and agreed to store, some items for him, because I fell for his sob story about how he'd lost his storage, and urgently needed somewhere to store his belongings. Gary also booked me, as Man & Van, to collect some more belongings from his ex landlord, and store those as well. But every time he'd booked me, he'd message in the early hours, on the day to cancel. Another tale of woe followed, how he'd been kicked out by his ex landlord, and how she'd stolen his items, and it was in the hands of the police. What he neglected to tell me was he'd failed to pay his way, and owed hundreds, if not a thousand, to her, and she was quite rightfully withholding his items until he paid.
And then he failed to pay me, sure he paid for moving his items, and a couple of months of storage, but then I had to chase him, for nearly a year! And I still haven't been paid fully!
Yes, I could take him to court, but he's potless, turns out he doesn't have the means to pay and his belongings are worthless tat as well, so wouldn't realise enough value to settle his debt!
He lost his last storage because he didn't pay the bill as well!
Gary likes to think he's got the upper hand in this, he'll threaten legal action or he'll report you to the police for theft. Gary doesn't seem to understand its a civil matter and that he can't continue to rip people off. If anyone is a criminal, its Gary for fraudulently obtaining services.
So I'm posting this as a warning to anyone who has been approached by Gary Campion regarding renting storage, property or using their services. Before you conduct any kind of business with him, think long and hard about what you're getting involved in, and at the very least, get him to pay upfront and in full!
Gary Campion is a con artist, a fraudster and very untrustworthy. There is a long list of people he owes money to, in Suffolk and Essex.
