In the Scottish Borders, taxi fares are determined by the Scottish Borders Council and are based on a tariff that includes initial hire charges, distance traveled, and waiting time. The current tariff was last reviewed and adjusted in September 2019

We have been notified by Scottish Borders Council this week that fares will be increasing from 1st July 2025

🚧 KELSO ROAD CLOSURE & TRAVEL INFO – SATURDAY 7 JUNE 🚴‍♀️
The Lloyds Tour of Britain Women is coming to the Scottish Borders, and we’re excited to welcome the world’s top cyclists to Kelso and Melrose!
To keep everyone safe, rolling road closures will be in place throughout the day. Here’s what you need to know:
📍Floors Castle will operate as normal, we suggest entry to the Estate should be via our Gardens & Terrace Cafe entrance (post code TD5 7RN) OR via our Golden Gates using Wi******er Row to access Roxburgh Street (post code TD5 7RL)
📍Plan your visit to Floors Castle - www.floorscastle.com
📍 Kelso – Roads in and around the town centre will be closed. Diversions will be in place
📍 Along the whole route – A short rolling road closure will be in place as the race passes through
🚗 Spectator parking available at Borders Events Centre, Springwood Park, Kelso
