One of the perks of this job is getting out and about seeing clients. I’ve had a nice morning in the Forest of Dean today, helping a client prepare for their annual Mission Zero audit.

As the Mission Zero audit is accepted by Traffic Commissioners as a compliance audit, not only is the operator satisfying their contractual requirements for Tarmac, but they are ensuring that their operation is compliant.

I really think all hauliers should have at least an annual compliance audit of some kind, to make sure they are up to date and operating in line with the requirements of the Traffic Commissioner.

While I enjoy getting out and about most days, it’s nice to have a relaxed day working from home.

Today work involves catching up on admin, checking inspection sheets, checking OCRS reports, driving licence checks, preparing for upcoming FORS bronze audits, submitting a FORS Silver application and preparing for a compliance audit I’m conducting in Bristol tomorrow.

Just need to find the time to get the dogs out before the school run.

One of the things I love about my work is the variety.

This week alone I’ve conducted a FORS audit, spent a day doing tacho analysis, dedicated time to my Transport Manager roles, completed a regular compliance visit, prepped 3 FORS Silver applications and had a positive meeting which has cemented new regular client.

I’m very passionate about helping people and providing the best service I possibly can. I believe that recommendations are the best form of advertising, which I seem to be benefiting from at the moment 💪🏻

Now I just need to find the time to finish off my driver cpc 🤦🏼‍♂️😂
