Reading posts like this makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Running a haulage business isn’t always easy, but having customers who appreciate what we do and have supported us over the years means a lot. We take pride in being dependable and treating every customer the way we’d want to be treated ourselves.

🚛 HGV MECHANIC WANTED – BEFORE WE LOSE THE PLOT 🔧😂. STILL ON THE HUNT 👀

📍 Kilwinning, Ayrshire

Right… let’s not mess about…

Our trucks are starting to develop “personalities”…
and not the good kind 😅

So we’re looking for someone who knows their way around an HGV and can keep things running without turning it into a drama every week 👀

🔧 What you’ll be doing:

• Fixing things that definitely worked yesterday
• Servicing trucks so they don’t fall apart at the worst possible time
• Keep us right for MOTs
• Brakes, suspension, steering and all the usual headaches
• Tell us when something’s about to cost us money (we won’t like it, but we need to hear it)
• Listening to drivers say “it’s just started making that noise…”

💰 What you’ll get:

• £18 – £24 per hour depending on experience
• Flexible hours – part-time, full-time, evenings, weekends
• Family-run business – no suits, no nonsense
• Plenty of variety (and the odd bit of chaos)

👀 We need someone who:

✔ Knows HGVs inside out
✔ Can work on their own without being babysat
✔ Actually turns up (rare these days 😅)
✔ Can laugh when things don’t go to plan

HGV licence = bonus, not essential

💡 Perfect if you:

• Already work in a garage and want extra hours
• Are self-employed
• Are semi-retired but still like keeping busy
• Are sick of dealership life and fancy something more relaxed
