We've made it to British summer time and that means weddings. Plenty of you have booked me for the lunchtime slots, looking your splendid best followed by the return journey later that night when you tend to look and sound completely different 😉

Hopefully the good weather continues? make the most of the great outdoors, and all this gorgeous area has to offer. Whether you're going to a golf club for the day, catching up with friends outside a cafe for a bit of lunch or a trip to the beach for a coastal walk and then followed by a nice cold pint outside a pub, give me a call if you need assistance 👍

Just wanted to touch on the positives and the negatives that Kingsbridge and the villages around us are going through. I'm witnessing firsthand how big a change the area is going through with regards to businesses like pubs, restaurants and obviously the High Street. I would encourage all my customers to check with any business at the moment the opening hours and availability 👍 Things are a bit tough everywhere.

On a positive note it's been wonderful to see the increasing amount of businesses and sole traders that are opening up courtesy of working from home, whether it's in a small office, bedroom, garden shed, or garage attached to the house. I've been amazed at how many hairdressers, dog groomers accountants etc, amongst others that are able to run a business from home, obviously if you need a taxi to get to any of these locations just give me a call 🐕

Easter week obviously showed us how the traffic system around Kingsbridge was not working and thankfully to all those involved who came up with the plan of creating the one-way system, this has definitely allowed traffic to move around the town most days slow and steady.
For myself as a business the Easter week showed that it was quicker to drive from Kingsbridge to Totnes station then it was to drive from Kingsbridge Crabshell to Tesco's in Kingsbridge and obviously that's not good for business when you can only complete a mile in 25 minutes!! We'll certainly need a little bit more patience over the next 3 months with Kingsbridge getting busier through tourism.

Many of you will have spotted our temporary new home for us taxi drivers is in the Quay car park at the head of the Kingsbridge estuary 👋

We now come in to the busiest months of the year with many people coming to visit the South Hams, the place I call home. Give me a call on the number above if you're requiring a taxi and I'll try to get to as many of you as I can.

You can always text or what's app me with bookings you wish to make. Train station and airport runs are very popular, restaurant and pubs collection, weddings and parties, hospital's and shopping runs all catered for plus coastal walkers get in touch for those trips to some of the more obscure locations 😀

Lighter, brighter, sunnier days appear to be upon us and March offers a little bit of everything for everyone. No doubt those who love walking the South Hams coastal path will be thinking about going to some far flung spots, do get in touch if you require assistance with any of these popular locations - Wonwell beach, Start Point lighthouse, Bigbury beach, Bantham, East Portlemouth and Lannacombe Bay pictured below🚶‍♀️

Hopefully the good weather allows for our local sports teams to get some game time under their belts after all this rain? Why not go along and show your support, you might even catch up with some old friends over a pint 🍻

Plenty of great pubs and restaurants in the area with stunning views to visit. Nothing beats some special time with loved ones, and a belly full of gorgeous food, give us a call if you need a ride home 🍜

I'll tip my hat to the NHS, fair play I'm getting many calls from people asking to go to Derriford and Torbay Hospital for routine appointments as well as doctor surgeries, physiotherapists, chiropractors and many more so give us a call if you need some assistance or unexpected assistance ☺️

Today our temporary home for the next 8 weeks has begun. You'll find myself and my fellow taxi drivers have moved a short distance from our usual home on the Kingsbridge Quay/bus station ⛔️

Signs clearly point you towards the head of the estuary, a short walk of around 75 meters to the promenade parking, next to the public toilets.

You'll find the pavement is pushchair and disability friendly alongside the Taxis with a bench to sit on if you have to wait for us 👍

Wishing all my wonderful customers a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎅

It's been another incredibly busy year, covering thousands of miles and I truly thank each and everyone of you for allowing me to assist you from A to B. I'll be having a few days off with the family over christmas but you can still message me with questions or future bookings 😊

The stories you tell me are incredible. Sometimes I'm speechless, sometimes you pour your heart out when times are tough and then have me in fits of laughter with everyday life stories 👍

The questions I get asked on a daily basis never fail to amaze me from being asked to go to the supermarket and buy sausages, bacon, eggs and baps for someone's breakfast. Or can I take 6 rabbits to the vets!

I get to chat with amazing people. The gent who flew Spitfires and all his RAF stories followed by the Gent who assisted Prince William and Harry with go karting lessons whilst he sat and had a cup of tea with Princess Diana and her bodyguard 👌

People ask me about the long journeys like Heathrow and back and the shortest, which this year was Kingsbridge bus station to the Yummy House Chinese ( If you know, you know ) 😄

Tips are always appreciated but the more unusual ones being offered were a lemon muffin, coat hangers and a conker 🙂

Those arriving on holiday and not knowing the area I should point out that sheep wandering around in the road or farmers moving cattle can offer a little bit extra to someone's holiday. The Italian gent who asked if we have internet in the depths of the countryside made me smile, but once again the Americans make me chuckle and simply cannot believe some of our roads especially down to the beaches, the look of fear in their eyes when they realize some of those roads are two way traffic can be priceless 🌞

Have a great time if you can over the festive period, and I look forward to being a small part of your life in 2026. Mark 😀

Summer time officially done and dusted and wow it was busy. Thank you so much for all the calls, some days even if there were 3 of me i wouldn't of been able to get to everyone!! It was great to see campsites, hotels, pubs and restaurants so busy and proof that when the sun shines the South Hams is truly beautiful and loved by so many. 😊

Moving into the autumn and there is still plenty to do so get out and enjoy the coastal paths for a good stomp, or catch up with friends over a lunch date.
