Switch off and unplug equipment safely, then label the cables. Bag them with the remote and write the device name on the bag. Keep it with the right packing so you are not searching through boxes at the new house.

Original packaging is useful if you have kept it. Otherwise, follow the manufacturer's packing guidance and protect the screen properly. Do not put loose plugs against it.

If some items are going to your new home and others to family, make a separate list for each stop. Label boxes on the top and side with a destination name. Coloured tape can help, but add words too.

Keep full addresses on your move list. Note who will open the door at each stop and any limits on access times.
