For Sale: VW Caddy Maxi Life

We at NickH Private Hire are sad to be saying goodbye to our VW Caddy, aka The Black Pig. After ten years of loyal and faithful service (and servicing), our wonderful Black Pig has reached the end of its journey with us. It’s now ready to begin the next leg of its journey.

Yup, it’s up for sale (sad times had by all here).

The good points: this is a 7 seater car, with the rear two rows of seats removable to make a van with windows. It is a 2.0L turbo diesel (140hp!), mated to a six speed automatic gearbox, which has done approx 343000 miles! It returns an average of approx 36 mpg.

It needs servicing every 18000 miles and has been serviced at those intervals throughout its life.

The vehicle has recently had new rear disks and pads. Also, it is fitted with a detachable tow bar.

It is MOT’d until 01/12/2024, approx 7+ months.

The bad points: the vehicle has suffered damage throughout its life at assorted times, all of which was repaired. It does, however, have a marker on the logbook stating (and I quote), “This vehicle has been salvaged because of structural damage, but it has been declared suitable for repair following a technical evaluation.” It passed the MOT directly following the repairs and has passed subsequent MOTs with no problems.

The air conditioning does not work, but the front electric windows do.

Apart from that, it has Bluetooth and functioning cruise control. The lettering will be removed prior to sale.
