Job Description

Full-time Experience HGV Drivers - 1 year (Preferred)

We are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers (C+E) to join our family run business located just off the M74 at Rigside, Lanark. 5 on 3 off shifts available with various start times.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a customer focused approach and the drive to ensure a successful operation. Applicants will have a flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns to facilitate operational requirements including night and weekend working.

These positions are permanent following a satisfactory probationary period.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Temperature controlled and Ambient deliveries/collections to/from RDC’s and customers across Scotland and England.

What will you need:

Current Clean HGV Class 1 licence

Current DCPC card

Digital Tachograph driver card

Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns

Good geographical knowledge

A positive, can do attitude

High attention to detail/excellent communication skills

Physically fit (some manual work may be involved)

Day-shift – Local RDCs.
Trunks – Combination of Day/Back-shift delivering to various locations.
Please note, all shift patterns have selection of start/finish times.

Today we celebrated my Uncle Tommy on his retirement after many years as our long-standing HGV driver doing 19 years at JHP Transport.

Tommy has been a huge part of the team, and his hard work, loyalty, and dedication over the years have meant so much to us all. He’s been more than just a driver, he’s been a valued friend to many and a familiar face everyone could rely on.

We want to thank him for all his years of service and wish him a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement.

Enjoy this next chapter, Tommy you’ve certainly earned it! 🚛👏🎉

Today, after the funeral of Jimmy Warnock, we learned that when the family returned home, their house had been broken into.

This is deeply upsetting and at an already very difficult time for the family.

If anyone has information, no matter how small, please come forward.

All information will be treated privately and confidentially.

A £1,000 reward is offered for correct and accurate information leading to those responsible.

Today, we are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jimmy Warnock, Director of our sister company, Farm Field Fresh. Jimmy was highly respected within the farming community and was rightly honoured with an MBE in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the industry.

Our sincere condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues at this very difficult time.
