Well this year is flying! Easter being this weekend 😮 We will be operating all weekend including the bank holiday Friday and Monday, book in advance as we are expecting a busy one. Prices vary on bank holidays, advance booking will get you a fixed price, on the day bookings as per normal are done on the meter.

Price increase!

From the 1st of April, due to the increase in costs across the board, we have had to make the tough decision to increase our local and fixed prices. Fuel has increased on average around 0.20p a litre in the last couple of weeks which at present has increased our fuel costs by over £200 a month on top of the usual. We have tried to keep it affordable whilst covering the increase in costs across the board. The local Liskeard fixed rate will increase by 50p from £5.50 day to £6 and from £6.20 night to £6.80. We hope you understand this was not an easy decision.

The sunshine has us feeling good today so:

We understand that people may think meter prices in Cornwall are on the higher side, these are set by Cornwall Council and are not set by drivers or companies! However in addition to our set Liskeard rates we have decided to introduce a 10% local discount for any same day, on demand or rank meter jobs we do 😁 This is our way of supporting local people. This is not an expectation and is driver discreation.

Well the sunshine lasted long 😫 In other news, we are trialing a VOIP landline number. This will allow us to hopefully answer more calls when the driver is busy, as this allows diffrent people to be able to use the system.
The mobile number will remain active! We will just divert it over the trial period at times. Texting and WhatsApp will still be used. If we go foward with the system the mobile number will still continue as this will just be diverted, so don't worry about trying to remember the landline.

Lastly, we would just like to thank all our wonderful customers. Sam's Cars is a very small family run service at present, we hope to able to expand in the near future. Running a small business in todays world is difficult and we cannot always get things right but we are trying 😁
