Heads up south Liverpool.

From this Sunday 11 October there are no trains between Hunts Cross and Liverpool Central for 26 days while Network Rail seals four Victorian tunnels under the city.

That’s South Parkway, Cressington, Aigburth, St Michaels and Brunswick all closed.

On Sundays it goes further and there are no trains up to Sandhills.

Replacement buses are running but they take longer than the train, and on matchdays expect queues.

Alpha is looking for an experienced mechanic to join our Liverpool workshop. A genuinely varied role across our fleet and customer vehicles, not servicing all day.

📍 Liverpool workshop
🕗 Mon to Fri, 8am to 4:30pm. Full time, permanent
💷 £34,000 to £38,000 DOE

What you'll be doing:
▪️ MOT testing, servicing, diagnostics, clutches, cambelts, brakes and suspension
▪️ Working with Snap-on and VCDS diagnostics, Autodata and specialist kit, all provided

What we're looking for:
▪️ 3+ years as a qualified mechanic
▪️ MOT Tester ideal, but training is available for the right person
