🚚 Self-Employed Van Driver Required – Long Distance UK Routes
We are looking for a serious, responsible and reliable self-employed van driver. This role is not for everyone – it involves long driving hours and requires a strong sense of responsibility.
📍 Job Description
• Delivery of outdoor wooden furniture
• Daily loading in Wisbech
• Standard loading time: 05:00 AM
(If you finish very late the previous day, next start may be 07:00 AM, but normally 05:00)
• Loading takes around 1 hour
• Factory staff bring the goods
• Driver must position items correctly in the van and secure them with straps
• Once all drops are completed, you go home
• Next working day starts again with loading in Wisbech
🚐 Vehicle & Fuel
• 2017 VW Crafter – Euro 6
• Van and fuel provided
• All vehicle repairs and maintenance are fully paid by the company
⚠️ Important:
The driver is responsible for daily vehicle checks and must report any issues immediately, including:
• Tyres
• Brakes
• Oil level
• Warning lights or unusual noises
Driving “until it breaks” without reporting problems is not acceptable.
Late reporting leads to much higher repair costs and shows a lack of responsibility.
🕒 Working Hours
• Monday to Friday
• Start time: 04:30–05:00
• Finish time:
• Sometimes 18:00–19:00
• Most days 21:00–22:00
⚠️ These are long driving hours.
If you are looking for short shifts or an easy job, this role is not suitable.
🗺️ Routes & Workload
• 300–450 miles per day
• 13–18 drops per shift
• UK-wide deliveries – cities, towns and villages
📌 Routes are provided in advance and planned using GPS route planning.
💷 Pay (per shift)
• 300–350 miles – £160
• 350+ miles – £180
• 450+ miles – £200
🔹 Important pay clarification:
Mileage is calculated based on the pre-planned GPS route provided before the shift, not on the distance driven by taking detours or unnecessary extra miles.
The route is fixed and mileage is calculated according to the assigned route, not personal driving choices.

• Clean UK driving licence
• Self-employed status
• Responsible and reliable attitude
• If you cannot attend work, you must inform us at least 24 hours in advance

We are not interested in drivers who:
• Fail to turn up for work and switch off their phone
• Give excuses instead of proper notice
• Want to return the next day as if nothing happened
• Do not care about vehicle condition or company equipment

• Is not afraid of long hours on the road
• Treats the van and the job with respect
📌 Many drivers who left want to return, but due to poor attitude and lack of responsibility, they are no longer accepted.
