Hello there! Logistics Support Network is currently in search of two skilled individuals for maternity cover, to join their one of their client's transport team and make an impact. Here are the opportunities available:
Supervisor: Shift: 15.00pm to midnight, Monday to Friday
Pay: £13.46 per hour
Take charge of overseeing transport operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Your role will involve planning routes, managing drivers, and maintaining proper documentation.
Admin: Shift: 6:00 am to 15;00pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £12.02 per hour
Provide administrative support to the transport department, handling paperwork, coordinating vehicle maintenance, and assisting with payroll.
Objective: To maintain smooth and compliant transport and warehouse operations at our Crick site, meeting customer needs while prioritizing safety.
Reporting to: Contract Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to company processes and procedures for all operational activities.
Supervise daytime transport operations, including vehicle planning, driver dispatch, and paperwork management.
Conduct regular vehicle inspections and manage fleet compliance, including scheduling servicing and MOTs.
Coordinate agency driver bookings and handle weekly payroll processing.

Logistics Support Network is seeking 2 x Transport operatives

Maternity Cover

1 x 15.00pm to midnight - Monday to Friday - £13.46ph - Supervisor

1 x 06.00am to 15.00pm - Monday to Friday - £12.02ph - Admin

Purpose: To oversee the transport and warehouse operations in line with the daily requirements at the Crick site to satisfy the needs of the customer efficiently and effectively, whilst ensuring full compliance with health & safety processes and procedures.

Reporting to: Contract Manager

Main Contacts: Depot Management Team, Warehouse team, Driving team.

Key Responsibilities / tasks:

• Ensure all company processes and procedures are followed with regard to all operational activity.

• Responsible for the daytime transport operation:

o Ensure that vehicles are planned properly

o Dispatch & debrief drivers as per company policy

o Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed correctly

o Ensure depot compliance is up to date on Tacho management system, and all infringements are signed off in a timely manner.

o Investigate and rectify any missing mileage

o Manage breakdowns and defects in a timely manner

o Send appropriate and accurate handover

• Complete a full walk around and deck check at the beginning & end of the shift and check system / action as required.

• Manage fleet compliance, booking any servicing & MOT’s.

• Book agency driving resource and allocate to the daily plan.

• Complete agency & FTE payroll weekly.

• Complete vehicle checks highlighting MOT / Service information and ensuring any out of service / MOT are not loaded.

• Ensure all inbound /outbound freight is managed effectively and allocated to the correct areas ready for onwards movement, and that hold freight and returns are stored as required.

• Monitor all staff; timekeeping, appearance and use of PPE- and resolve as appropriate.

• Ensure all drivers are completing their allocated workload and that all required tasks are completed in line with H&S and operational requirements.

• Ensure all MHE is in working area and ensure any equipment not in working order is VOR’d and arrangements made for repairs.

• Ensure warehouse area is kept clean, and tidy at all times.

• Ensure that any damage caused or identified while loading / unloading is dealt with in line with the Goods in Transit process and that statements are taken. where required along with photographs of damage.

• To undertake any reasonable request regarding transport/warehouse operations

• Carry out weekly H&S active monitoring at least once a month to support the depot compliance manager.

• Manage the office in the absence of senior management team.

Logistics Support Network are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Night Driver, for a client based in Crick, Northamptonshire. We are looking for a driver to start Monday to Friday at 2300. We have an immediate start, with an assessment available 05/07/2023 at 21:00.

The main roles of HGV Class 2 Night Driver will include:

• Delivering to car garages overnight
• Unloading stock into garages in cages & on pallets (manual offload)
• Working for clients’ night network
• Keeping in contact with the depot and reporting any issues as they happen
• Completion of all relevant paperwork
• Three days training is provided (paid)

To be considered, HGV Class 2 Night Driver are required to have the following:

• Must hold a current, valid Class 2/C UK licence
• Must have a digital tachograph card & full CPC card
• No DR’s or DD’s endorsements (for insurance purposes only)
• Must successfully pass a 2-hour assessment & induction (paid)
• Minimum for 6 months’ experience required (for insurance purposes only)

We are pleased to offer the following pay rates –

• £17.13ph for the first 45 hours / £19.90ph after 45 hours (PAYE)

For PAYE workers, holiday pay is accrued separately to the above rates.

Logistics Support Network are recruiting for a permanent Transport & Fleet Coordinator for our client Lutterworth, LE17. This is working at the Head Office of our client, where you will become an integral part of the HR team.

Reporting directly to the Fleet Controller, some of the responsibilities for the Transport & Fleet Coordinator are mentioned below. Please note, due to the fast-paced nature of this role, the responsibilities may change as per organisational needs:

• Administration of the fleet database for company cars, vans and LGVs to a ensure compliance with legislation and industry best practice
• Invoice validation from third party suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and authorised spend
• Validation and efficient administration of penalty charge notices to reduce costs and charges, including taking ownership of the dispute process from beginning to end
• Maintain vehicle database to ensure accurate recording of vehicle location, ownership, status, etc
• Collection and monitoring of company car P11D details for HMRC requirements
• Administer the grey fleet policy and end user adherence to this
• Assisting the regional transport managers with scheduled and reactive maintenance to ensure a high degree of availability with the core fleet
• Coordination and administration of driver license checks
• Manage and process all requests for short term hire car bookings with the nominated third-party supplier against a cost efficiency matrix
• Analyse on-hire reports to provide the most cost-effective solution and minimise company spend
• New vehicle ordering support for company car users, with co-ordination of new orders in line with company sign off and procedures
• Management of company fuel card administration including issue, cancellation and renewal
• Provide reporting to HR shared services to support fuel rated claims and benefit in kind
• Efficient fuel use reporting and data management
• Active involvement of LGV fleet replacement programmes to deliver the lowest whole life cost possible
• Ensure Operator license compliance obligations in line with the restricted license
• Work with the Fleet Controller to support standard framework of Group Transport policies and procedures and to ensure continuous compliance of all regulatory and self-imposed transport standards
• Assist with production of information, preparation and representation for all transport regulatory enquiries or investigations
• Respond to internal and external customer transport related matters
• Assist in the control of policies in relation to the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (“FORS”).

Skills needed for this role include:

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages including Word and Excel (maintenance and data collation).
• Experience of working in a fleet environment preferred,
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.
• Previous experience in management of penalty charge notices and the appeals process preferred, but not essential
• Ability to improve and develop current policies and procedures.
• Demonstrable communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, problem solve and find solutions.
• Knowledge and understanding of LGV compliance preferred.
• Demonstrates high attention to detail.
• Knowledge of LGV driver tacho hour management systems preferred.
• Previous understanding of the FORS accreditation and requirements preferred.
• Efficient in KPI and cost saving tracking and reporting.

Working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, across core hours 0800-1730.
The candidate can expect a salary of between £26000 - £30000 per annum + a host of benefits.

Logistics Support Network are recruiting for a Van Driver, for working on a fixed-term contract until Christmas, engaged directly with our client in Blaby, Leicestershire.

Specialising in urgent deliveries throughout the UK, our client is looking for a reliable and professional Van Driver to add to their growing team. Our client is looking for a customer focused, reliable, punctual individual to carry out deliveries to clients around the UK.

Key responsibilities for the Van Driver will include:

• Carrying out business to business deliveries (no multi drop) across the UK.
• Maintaining company paperwork, as per company procedures
• Keeping in regular contact with the office, to inform on delays, issues etc.
• Keeping van and equipment clean and presentable at all times
• Unloading at customer premises as required
• Working average 10 hours per day
• Working Monday to Friday with occasional weekends

Key requirements for the Van Driver include:

• Must be able to commit to the fixed-term
• Must have a smartphone for Sat-Nav use and email access
• Must be physically fit as unloading is required
• Must be respectful of company property, as modern van will be supplied
• Must have no more than 3 points on licence
• Experience is preferred

The pay rate for the role is £11.00ph, with 30 mins unpaid lunch. For hours worked between 1900-05:00, these are payable at time and a half, along with any weekend working/bank holiday requirements. Salary is paid on a monthly basis.

Start time is usually around 0600am.

The main roles of HGV Class 1 Driver will include:

 Average shift length 8 – 11 hours per shift
 1 or 2 runs per day on set trunking routes
 Keeping in contact with the depot and reporting any issues as they happen
 Completion of all relevant paperwork

To be considered, HGV Class 1 Driver are required to have the following:

 Must hold a current, valid Class 1/C+E UK licence
 Must have a digital tachograph card & full CPC card
 No DR’s or DD’s endorsements (for insurance purposes only)
 Must successfully pass a 2-hour assessment & induction

Rate whilst with the agency is:

• £16.81ph Monday to Friday

Please note, we are only looking for drivers who are happy to go full time. Please see below the permanent rate:

• £14.17ph, guaranteed 48-hour week
