October sunshine, sea air and ice-creams! 🍦

Last Thursday, we enjoyed a trip to the seafront with one of our clients, sharing ice-creams in the sunshine and hardly believing it was October.

Sometimes, it's the simple pleasures that make an outing special: a change of scenery, a good chat and someone to enjoy it all with. 💙

The New Forest has some extra residents at this time of year! 🐖
It's pannage season, when local commoners turn out their pigs to forage for fallen acorns. It's a lovely Forest tradition with a practical purpose: acorns can be harmful to ponies and cattle.

If you're lucky enough to see the piggies on an outing, enjoy watching them from a distance and please don't feed or touch them.

A gentle drive through the Forest, perhaps with a stop for coffee, can be a wonderful way to enjoy what's happening locally. Our companion drivers can help make the whole outing feel comfortable and unhurried.

Today we're thinking of everyone living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, as well as the families, friends and carers supporting them every day.
